Evolution of the Crows

That night, Himari's fever was completely gone, so she decided to head to the gym where Kuroo was practicing with some others.

"Mari, is your fever gone?" She heard as soon as she walked in.

Her eye twitched and she nodded. Suddenly, she heard footsteps rapidly approaching her. She turned around and saw Hinata barreling towards her.

"Mari, you're better!" He yelled as he stopped right in front of her.

"Yep! Better than ever!" She answered and then looked around the gym. Bokuto looked a little excited seeing the girl in the gym which made her confused.

"So, what are you guys doing?" She asked.

"We're playing a three on three. Can you keep score for us?" Kuroo asked.

Himari nodded and stood next to the scoreboard. She got everything ready and then looked up, only to find Bokuto right in front of her. She jumped back and gave him a weird look.

"Uh, hi?"

"Hello!"

Himari looked to Kuroo for help, but he just shrugged and looked away. Akaashi sighed and shook his head.

"Your dad is Daisuke Nakamura, right?"

Himari nodded, which made Bokuto gasp. She didn't know why since she had told him before.

"That's awesome! I want to meet him again!"

Himari sighed before giving Bokuto a smile, "Get to nationals and you'll most likely see him again."

Bokuto nodded excitedly and ran back to Hinata and Akaashi. Himari laughed to herself before signaling for them to start.

"Wow, Lev sucks at receiving." Himari said, causing Kuroo to laugh.

"We told him to practice." Kuroo replied.

Himari shook her head at that and watched as the ball went over the net causing Hinata to receive it sloppily and Akaashi covered it and sent it to Bokuto.

"You're supposed to be a first year, why are you so freaking tall?!" Bokuto exclaimed before glancing the ball off the blockers hand.

Himari leaned forward and smiled. Bokuto really did live up to being one of the best aces in Japan.

As the game continued, Bokuto sent the ball to Hinata, but the other team, who was basically towering over him, created a wall. However, Hinata aimed for the tips of Lev's fingers and got a block out.

"Hinata, that was so cool!" Himari exclaimed as she jumped up and down. Hinata smiled at her as he answered Kuroo's question. Bokuto was also super impressed and decided to teach Hinata a "special attack".

Himari walked towards the court and poked Akaashi. He turned around and looked at the girl as she gestured towards the two hyper boys.

"Is Bokuto always like that?"

"Unfortunately, yes."

After ten minutes, the game started back up and eventually ended. Himari waved to the boys and set off to find Yachi.

She wandered around before stumbling on the gym that Yachi was in. Unfortunately, Kageyama was also there. The two hadn't talked about what happened, so she was planning to just back away slowly.

"Mari!"

Himari cringed as she heard the tall first year call out to her. She took a deep breath before turning around.

"Yes?"

"Can we talk?"

Kageyama had that stupid determined look on his face causing Himari to sigh and nod. The two walked out of the gym and just stood there, neither saying anything.
