The team had gotten back from Tokyo late at night, so the next day at practice, they were exhausted.
"I'm so tired!" Noya complained and slumped against Himari. He was about to fall asleep, when Himari's loud ringtone woke him up.
"Ugh, one second."
She answered the call and her face scrunched up before she said 'no' and hung up. A second later, Daichi's phone rang. He answered it and his eyes widened a little before he ended the call. He walked up to Takeda and Ukai and talked to them for a bit before the teacher nodded his head and rushed out, only to return with a tv on a cart.
"Seriously?" Himari mumbled.
"Everyone, gather around!" Daichi yelled.
The team gathered around the captain, waiting for him to speak. Daichi looked at Himari and smiled, causing her to roll her eyes.
"Well, since everyone is tired and we practiced enough today, Coach Ukai said we could end practice early."
"What's the tv for?" Hinata asked.
"Kuroo called and told me that we should watch the national sports news today, so that's what we will be doing."
Daichi nodded to Takeda before taking his seat on the floor. Takeda turned to the channel right when the documentary was starting.
"Now, a couple of weeks ago we were able to take a peek at the men's national volleyball team practice. Let's take a look."
Himari groaned and buried her face in her hands. Her teammates looked confused until they saw her on the tv looking at the camera with a smile and walking into a building.
"Mari, that's you!" Hinata yelled.
"Yes, I know that."
Next, they showed all the kids and their dad's arriving in their national volleyball team jackets. Hinata's and Kageyama's eyes were practically sparkling at the sight of all the professional volleyball players.
"So cool!"
Himari smiled at his enthusiasm before turning back to the tv where the documentary cut to her standing in front of the whiteboard. Everyone laughed as Koji and Hikari fought about the word before it cut to Himari's interview.
"So, Nakamura, do you play volleyball?"
Himari smiled at the lady and shook her head, "I like watching and observing it more. It's easy to come up with plans when watching from the outside."
"So, are you on your school's team as a manager?"
Himari nodded, "Yeah! And we're going to nationals, I'm going to make sure of it!"
Everyone looked at her as her face burned. She had her face buried in her knees as the interview continued.
"Oh, what team are you on?"
"Karasuno in Miyagi prefecture!"
"That means you guys will have to beat Shiratorizawa, right? The team Wakatoshi Ushijima is on?"
"Pshh easy. My team will beat them and every team before them."
Himari felt the stares of the whole team on her before she felt two people wrap their arms around her shoulders. She turned her head just enough to see that it was Noya and Tanaka.
"You're really putting the pressure on us, huh? Well, I guess we just have to win now, it will be embarrassing if we don't!"
Everyone nodded with determination as Himari smiled. Ukai walked up to her and ruffled her hair.
"Nakamura's given you guys another reason to win, so let's win and get to nationals!"
"Yeah!"
The documentary continued showing the interviews of all the kids before showing the practice. Himari's dad could be seen yelling, telling the men to push themselves harder.
"So that's where you get it from." Tsukishima muttered.
"Want to say that to my face?" Himari said.
The tall blond smirked at Himari before turning away. Himari scowled and took her shoe off to throw at him, but Suga took it out of her hand and put it back on her foot.
"Just ignore him."
Himari huffed, but did as she was told. She turned back to the tv where it was now showing the players having a pushup contest. Himari was on her dad's back as he did pushups and Daiki was on his dad's back as he was doing the same.
"Dad won!"
"That's not fair, Daiki's way heavier!"
"That was rude."
"As you can see, the team is able to balance fun and work, especially with their kids there to keep them in check."
The kids watched as their dads fought about who won. Himari looked up and winked at the camera while Daiki and Koji wrapped their arms around each other's shoulders and waved to the camera.
Afterwards, the documentary showed them cooking and eating lunch before showing more of the practice. Finally, it showed the photoshoot.
"The kids and the players are currently taking photos for the national sports magazine that will be out soon."
"Wow, Mari, you're a natural." Yachi commented as she watched Himari follow the directions from the photographer.
The documentary ended with the kids and their dads walking out of the building and waving at the cameras. Himari sighed with relief when she saw that it was over.
"Wow, I want to be on that team!" Hinata exclaimed as he jumped up.
Kageyama nodded in agreement while Himari looked at them with a smile. She knew that those two would get on the team when they were older, so they didn't have anything to worry about.
"Yeah, yeah, first you need to get to nationals because I don't want to be embarrassed if you guys lose."
"Yeah!"
It was late, so everyone began cleaning up to get ready for their last practice the next day.
After that, it would finally be time for the games to begin.
