Earlier in the week, her father had called saying there was a project that she was needed for. When Friday came, Himari hopped on the train, and arrived in Tokyo late at night. Once she got off the train, she heard her name being called.

"Mari! Over here!" She turned and saw Kuroo and Kenma walking towards her with smiles.

She hugged Kuroo and smiled at Kenma before the three of them left. They didn't have to walk long to get home.

"Bye Kenma! See you Sunday!"

Kuroo and Himari walked into his house where Himari was greeted with a big hug from her grandparents.

"Mari, it's been so long!"

Himari laughed and patted them on the back. When they let go, they led her to the dining room where her dinner was placed on the table.

"Eat up, you're going to have a long day tomorrow."

Himari looked confused, but they didn't say anything. She just shrugged it off and ate her food. Once she was done, she went to her room and got ready for bed.

I wonder what the project is.

~

The next day, Himari's father picked her up an hour before practice started. When they arrived, a camera crew was standing outside. Himari looked at her dad with a glare.

"Dad, what exactly is the project that I was needed for?"

Her dad nervously laughed and parked the car. When they got down, the cameras immediately followed their movements.

"Just relax and smile for the cameras. The other kids will be here soon."

Himari perked up at that. Most of the older players had kids with some that were around her age, so she was excited to see them.

~

Once everyone had arrived, the kids and the players were sat down and told that the sports channel wanted to do a segment on the volleyball team and that everyone would be interviewed.

"So much work!" Daiki Hirayama, a first year, complained.

Himari just smiled and nodded, "Well, nothing we can do about it now."

"You are way too smiley." Aiko Takahashi, a third year, grumbled.

Himari just shrugged and went to the supply room to pull out a rolling whiteboard. A cameraman was filming the kids as they waited to be interviewed.

"So, who wants to play hangman?"

~

"P."

"Nope."

The group of kids had been playing for twenty minutes, even the cameraman was enjoying their antics. Well, the older kids were playing, the younger kids were doing something else.

"Mari, is this even a word?!"

"Of course, I never lie."

"You just did."

Himari just brushed off their complaints and pointed at the camera man, "You can play too."

The man was a little taken aback, but he smiled.

"N."

Himari clapped and wrote down the letter in the first spot.

"What is the word?!" Koji Sato, another first year asked.

Himari sighed, "Final exams are coming up, you should know the word by now. You have N, A, and T. Guess more vowels."

They did that, and eventually they got the whole word.

"'Naivety'? That is not a word." Koji said.

"Of course it is. It's on the words I need to know for my english exam."

Kouske Ito, a very smart second year, got up and took the marker from Himari. He glared at everyone and they all sighed.

"Nice going, Koji. Now we have to sit through his lecture." His twin sister, Hikari Sato, said.

"It's not my fault that Himari chose a nonexistent word!"

Hikari punched her brother's arm and scowled, "That word is on our list for our exam too!"

Koji opened his mouth, but then closed it when Kouske glared at him.

"Himari Nakamura, it's your turn to be interviewed."

Himari got up and followed the lady. She sat down in the chair and waited for the lady to start asking her questions.

"So, Nakamura, do you play volleyball?"

Himari smiled at the lady and shook her head, "I like watching and observing it more. It's easy to come up with plans when watching from the outside."

"So, are you on your school's team as a manager?"

Himari nodded, "Yeah! And we're going to nationals, I'm going to make sure of it!"

The lady chuckled and nodded. The interview went on for another five minutes before she was able to leave.

My social battery is going into overdrive.

~

It had been a few hours and all six of the older kids went to prepare lunch.

"Koji, don't eat the rice!"

"I'm hungry!"

Himari and Kouske were the ones who were mostly cooking while the others were trying to stop Koji from stealing the ingredients.

"I don't have enough patience for this." Kouske muttered as he made the rice.

"You don't have any patience." Himari told him as she cut the vegetables.

"Exactly my point."

The cameraman was having a lot of fun watching the chaos of the older kids. He was definitely going to make sure it was added in the segment.

Once they were done making lunch, they called everyone to the cafeteria. The little kids rushed in and right behind them were the players.

"Wow, this looks delicious guys!" One of the players exclaimed.

"Thanks." Koji responded.

"What are you saying 'thanks' for? You did nothing." Hikari said.

"Whatever."

The players and kids got their food and Koji served the camera crew too. Once everyone had their food, they began eating.

"Wow, Kouske and Mari are amazing at cooking!"

"We know." They both said.

~

Before the day ended the kids, players, and coach had to do a photo shoot for a magazine. All the kids groaned, but did as the photographer said.

After the photos everyone was able to go home.

"Bye guys, see you later." Himari said.

Everyone waved and went their separate ways. The second she sat in the car, she began dozing off.

I get to hang out with Kenma tomorrow.
