Waku South started off serving with Daichi receiving. Hinata and Kageyama did their quick attack, but Waku South didn't seem surprised.
"So they've got a reliable captain too." Himari said and leaned forward.
"Shouldn't all teams have a reliable captain?" Tadashi asked.
Himari looked up at him with a smile, "Sure, but look at a team like Fukurodani. Bokuto isn't exactly the most ideal captain, but his teammates are more mature, so they don't really need anyone keeping them in line. Plus, Bokuto is an amazing player and his enthusiasm is infectious."
Tadashi nodded, understanding her point. They both turned back to the game, seeing the opposing team calm and ready to receive.
"We've always dealt with teams who aggressively attack using their weapons. The teams who stay silent and calm are the ones we have trouble with." Ukai commented.
"Like Nekoma."
"Exactly."
Himari and Kiyoko giggled at how Daichi got the players in the zone. Unfortunately, Waku South got the next point after receiving Kageyama's serve.
The next play, Takeru got a point by deflecting off Hinata's hand. Everyone could see the similarities he had to the tiny giant, it made Himari smile.
Takeru turned to see Himari's reaction and immediately felt proud when he saw her smiling.
I have to impress her! He thought as he went back to his position.
The teams continued to stay in pace with each other the entire game. Neither were pulling ahead.
They watched as Daichi encouraged his teammates after Takeru got under Hinata's skin causing Ukai to chuckle,
"That kid's after my job."
"No, I am." Himari responded, causing Ukai to ruffle her hair in response.
Finally, Karasuno had a two point lead and they began gaining momentum. The rally was getting longer and longer. However, time seemed to stop when everyone noticed Daichi and Tanaka going for the ball at the same time.
It happened so fast. Daichi collided into Tanaka's shoulder and soon he was on the ground. Himari was the first one to move, getting an ice pack from the cooler.
Daichi groaned and got up. Takeda and Ukai asked him questions as Himari pressed the ice pack to his face. Suddenly, blood was coming out his mouth and he spit out a tooth.
"Oh, gross." Himari cringed, but continued holding the ice pack. Daichi took it from her and patted her head.
"Nakamura, Takeda, take over while I take him to the infirmary."
Himari nodded and turned to the players, "Ennoshita, you're up."
The second year looked taken aback, "Me?! Why?!"
"Just trust me, you're the perfect person."
Ennoshita nervously nodded before running onto the court. He couldn't understand why she would choose him.
"We're counting on you!"
"Ennoshita, you got this!"
Himari sat back down on the bench and leaned forward. Suga approached her wanting to know her thoughts.
"Why did you choose him? There's no problem about it, I just want to know what you're thinking."
Himari smiled up at the third year before pointing at Ennoshita, "You might not see it since you're always with Daichi and Asahi, but Ennoshita is able to keep the second years and first years in check and motivated during practice and in school. He's like Daichi, and I guarantee he's going to be captain next year."
