Excitement ran through each teen as they sat around the boy's dorm room chattering about Remus' trial. "Hang on, so they were all weird wrih you cos you're a Black?" Sirius asked when she told them about security. His sister nodded. "I can't honestly blame them, you Blacks are trouble." Brodie snickered, making Sirius thump him over the back of his head. "Oi oi! No need for violence." James called, trying to tidy the dorm. "I'm so happy it went okay Remus!" Lily practically squealed, hugging onto his arm. Both Syd and James shared the same look of jealously before turning to eachother. "I'm so happy it went okay Syd!" James squealed and took it a step further, kissing the girls cheek.

Both Remus and Lily stared at the pair -with the same jealousy- who were now howling with laughter. "You guys are so easy to wind up." A hooded Marlene said from the window. The poor girl had been called a Puffskein so many times now. The dye had only worked to frizz up her hair more meaning the harassment she usually got had only increased. Lily stared at James, her usually large, green eyes seemed small and beady. "Why are you looking at me like that Lilypads?" James asked, his voice shaking with fear. She shrugged and turned her attention back to Marlene.

"You're sleeping in the doghouse tonight kid." Syd laughed, sitting behind Remus and draping her legs over his shoulders. "Closely followed by you, Remus and Sirius." Brodie laughed to himself. "What?!" He exclaimed, seeing his boyfriend staring at him, "it's not my fault you smell like wet dog, and I'm sure the other canines are the same."
"We do NOT!" Syd and Remus said at the same time making the rest laugh. "Hang on... where's Peter? Marlene finally said, chirping up after her sulk." James looked around the room dumbly. "I swear, for 4 years that boy was brilliant, then come last year he turns into a knob... Should we have a look fellas?" James scrambled over Lily and withdrew the map from his bedside table. Remus muttered a location spell, not even moving from the floor at the bottom of his bed, pinned down by Syd's legs.

"The fucker is in Slytherin common room." Sirius cried angrily. Syd's eyes buldgeded and she gently kicked at Remus chest as if to say 'really'. He got up and double checked the map. "He's right suns." Everyone was now looming over the boys' prizzed possession. "Should we go, I mean I know Slytherin's password." Lily claimed, the girl had changed so drastically since she fell out with Severus, despite his numerous attempts to reconnect with her. "Yeah!" Sirius called. Brodie was staying out of it, he'd never really liked or got along with Pete as they met just as the rodent was starting to distance himself from the group.

"What's he even doing down there?" James asked. Remus smirked, "if he's dealing I'm pissed he hasn't offered me some." Syd smiled, leaning on him. James was pulling on his trainers as he stormed out of the room, Sirius followed closely behind him his boots stomping on the floor behind him. The girls, Remus and Brodie all just glanced between eachother. "Someone tell Sirius I'm going to my dorm to revise, if he wants to hookup later then let me know."
"Ew! That's my brother."
"Well none of you have any boundaries." Brodie chuckled and left the dorm. Syd had always liked Brodie, she thought he was good for her brother. He never failed to treat him right and he was good to Syd.

"We should follow them, make sure they don't curse Pete beyond recognition." Lily spoke, being the voice of reason. Marlene shrugged, "think I'll just go and see Dorcas."
"Yeah, might as well pay Reggie a visit." Syd lead the way out of the dorm, Remus following quickly behind her "and what's your reason for coming?" She teased. The boy laughed and waited for the other girls to catch up, "I always liked Reg." He said simply which was enough of an answer for Syd. She hooked their arms together as they walked down the cold halls. Students passed them, some stopping to say hello and others just determined to get to their common rooms in time for lights out.

Remus' hip was still giving him grief, his legs not walking in their usual time but rather giving him a hobble. Sirius had definitely dislocated it and Mia hadn't fully put it back correctly, he remembered being laid there, helpless as the woman made her best efforts to soothe him. He despised when Syd would transform back after the boys had seen to him and covered him over, her look of concern never failed to make him feel guilty. "So, whatcha doing tommorow?" She joked, interrupting his thoughts. "Um... I think I'm turning 17 when I get time away from my needy friends." He laughed back, moving to his default position of having his arm over her. This way he could use her to balance out the limp too.
