Syd and Remus had barely spoken since Monday, the stress of his upcoming trial made him even more agitated than usual, especially with the thought of Syd lingering at the back of his mind. Every night since their kiss the boy had dreamt of her body pressed against his and his face burried in her neck. Every spare thought he had went to the girl, so when he woke up on Friday the 27th of September to her voice calling out for the other boys in his dorm room, he thought he was still asleep. Syd walced around the room, her baggy pajamas swishing with every movement.

"Up, time to get up." She called, whipping the curtains open on the other boys beds, even going as far as to drag Sirius onto the floor by his feet. However the girl did not make an effort to touch Remus' bed. "Where's my tie?" James moaned after a few minutes. Syd was on it, the werewolf could hear her snatch up the discarded tie, her long dark nails gently scraping the floor. She muttered a few words under her breath and flicked her wand, James' tie came alive and tied itself neatly round his neck. "Right, you're dressed. Out!" She barked at the boy. James shot up from his bed and bolted out the door.

Remus laid in bed, his hands tucked behind his head, his quilt just covering his chest. He held back a laugh as the door slammed behind James. "You." Syd pointed at her twin. "Cloak then out, Peter Socks!" She called chucking a balled pair at him. It was earlier than the marauders were used to getting up, their slow movements had only acted to quicken Syd in her rushing of the boys.

Remus wouldn't say he was annoyed but rather disappointed when he heard not only Peter and Sirius leave but Sydra too. She marched the boys downstairs where they met with the girls. "As we all now know, today is a big day for Remus. Piss him off and I'll personally see to it that he kills you during the next moon." She took a big breath as the friends took the opportunity to glance at one another, "Please just leave him to himself today, we all know what the reprocussions might be if we talk to him." The friends looked back on that Wednesday where Remus had put down several mugs too harshly, not thinking very clearly and broken them into tiny, little fragments.

Sirius was the first to speak, "I personally don't wanna end up like those mugs..." Marlene clicked in agreement. Remus was relishing in the peace and quiet of the dorm room as the friends deliberated a compassionate way to talk to the wolf. "No swearing, no complaints, no mentions of school work, am I forgetting anything?" Brodie questioned. Syd counted the topics to avoid on her hands before shaking her head at the older boy. Syd started to wave the group out "breakfast Schnell!" She joked and collapsed into the couch momentarily.

Remus swung his feet out of his bed and curled his toes again the stone floor. His boxers were tight against his skin, the last of the summer heat making it difficult to sleep in anything more. The boy dressed himself in a casual jeans and T-shirt combo. The common room was empty when he finally made his way down the crooked and creaking stairs aside from Syd who was sat messily on the couch staring into the fire. "Suns?" He questioned making her head snap round. She smiled and budged up, making room for the boy next to her. He happily took the seat, spreading his legs out and wrapping an arm round her shoulders.

"Feels like we've barely talked this week," the girl started, nipping gently at the scarred skin around his knuckles as they lay close to her. Remus twitched under her touch, "I'm sorry," his deepening voice called, "should we talk about y'know..." He trailed off, his body becoming tense. Remus had avoided all mention of their kiss that week, he wanted to live in his own little bubble thinking they'd do it again and again. However the pair had barely looked at each other more than a few times since then.

Syd went first, "Don't tell anyone, please." Remus' heart sank, he wanted nothing more than to be with her, boldly be with her. "Okay." He replied, gently breathing out, "I won't lie to you Syd," he pinched the bridge of his nose, "I really like what happened and I've thought of nothing but you and this court date this week" Syd's cheeks darkened drastically, her stomach summersaulted towards her heart and she nipped harder at the skin on the boys hands.
