Remus was the last to wake up on his own birthday. Syd was sat bouncing with anticipation on James's bed with the half asleep boy sat next to her and Peter's curtains were closed around his bed. The werewolf could hear the shower running and presumed her older brother to be in the bathroom. "Hey," he rubbed his eyes as Syd ogled at the muscles in his arms "how long you been awake for?" he questioned the girl. She shrugged and pulled a face at him before walking over and squeezing him tight in her arms. Syd stood between his legs and squeezed him tighter before he tapped out and stood up. "Happy Birthday!" she exclaimed happily before banging on the door and opening it slightly for her twin to shout the same words at him. James mumbled quietly "happy birthday." before he started getting ready for the day.

"There better be a lot of alcohol at my party" Remus said as he sat down at the Gryffindor table for breakfast. The girls were nowhere to be seen that moring. "Who says we've even done a party for you." Sirius furrowed his brow as he stabbed a pancake with his fork. Brodie glanced at him for a second "Someone's grouchy." he commented only for Sirius to stare at the athlete. "You will be too come friday after what Sydra told me... Family picnic with that little shit." he pointed over his shoulder roughly in the direction of his younger brother. Remus rolled his eyes "She told you then. Fucking drama queen." he chuckled before piling his plate with bacon and toast. "You looking forward to your presents then Lupin?" Brodie asked before shoving a fork loaded with food in his mouth. "Yeah, I am actually, if you got me something sports related I will pre-warn you that it will be given to James." he said bluntly. Brodie laughed his deep and booming laugh which caught the attention from a variety of people at the other tables. "I hope you got him a new broom." James winked mischievously

"Fancy going to hogsmeade this morning once I wake up?" James questioned over his bowl of cereal. Remus shrugged lightly "I don't see why not mate." The boys continued their breakfast as they chatted about their homework and Brodies exams. Before they left the hall, Sirius stood up on his bench as per birthday tradition, then James, then brodie. Remus ducked his head down and prepared himself for the embarrassment as his friends bellowed at the top of their lungs "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" And continued throughout the rest of the song. Remus tried to pull James back into his seat only for him to catch a tickley spot and start laughing the song out. "Prongs, get down... Get down!!" He cringed and desperately tried to pull him down into his seat once more.

After an embarrassing end to Remus' birthday breakfast Sirius and Brodie parted ways from Peter, Remus and James as the trio headed into he school grounds. "I really fancy a butterberr..." James muttered only to be heard by the werewolf. "Oh yeah actually that sounds really good right now... As long as you pay." He smirked making James chuckle. "So prongs, how's it going with Lily?" Remus asked with curiosity. James's smile spread across his face as his cheeks turned a light pink. "Pretty well if I say so myself," he began "but she keeps making all these like book references and I just have to nod along because I have no clue what she's on about." He scratched his head as Peter looked at him questioningly. "Hit me, I might be able to tell you what they mean." Remus interrupted.

"Okay but you asked... A man of great fortune must be in want of a wife. Or something along those lines." James pondered more quotes the ginger had said to him. "That's pride and prejudice, I've read it but you're better of asking Syd about that one."
"Yeah, I've seen her reading that Muggle book before." Peter interjected.
"It's supposed to be one of the greatest love stories." Remus winked at James who only went redder in the face. James chewed his lip before speaking again "what's it about then?"
Remus laughed before explain "Its about romance and love in the 1800s, basically the main female character is shunned by the main male character for a while but he really loves her and she's impartial for a while. He proposes out of the blue and she turns him down but then they sort of get to know eachother then he proposes again in a more subtle way and she says yes."
