Almost always, Blythe is seen wearing a black tulle turtleneck without sleeves under a sage green underbust corset with straps and black ropes tying it together, green and dark brown gloves and buckles almost all the way up her arms, a dark brown pouch attached to a thick belt around her waist, a dark brown maxi skirt with long slits on both sides, light beige pants, and black boots. A long off-white ribbon is knotted and loose around her chest in a way that resembles a ribcage as an accessory.
Love Interest:
Blythe focuses her affections onto Jinx, previously known as Powder. She met Jinx after Blythe had joined Silco at the age of thirteen, and the two had become very close friends quickly. Blythe sees Jinx as a gentle, tortured soul. One she wants nothing more than to keep safe, especially after Silco had died. She shows her love with acts of service.
Background:
The Barlowe family tragedy was a story every Piltover citizen knew very well. It was simple, a wealthy family, struck by Undercity trash. The father of the family was killed in a conflict with the intruder as they worked to escape. Mother and daughter were left alone, as the mother had no claim to the father's money, both were flushed into poverty, and thus were sent to live among the streets of the Undercity. "It was not kind to us." Blythe describes.
In the shortest version of the story, both grew sick. Blythe grew well again after many weeks, as the mother slowly wasted away into nothing before her daughter's very eyes. It felt so quick, even though it lasted months.
From then on, every year seemed to pass to fast for Blythe. Life moved so quickly, and so slow, at the exact same time for her. One minute she was a pickpocket, the next she was an errand girl for strangers, then a courier. At the same time, the young girl was dedicated to becoming a doctor. If she had chance, she would have never let what happened to her parents occur the way it did.
And so, she developed the formula for a liquid that would make one impervious to disease and growing weak. She called it Shimmer, and sold it on the streets as a miracle cure. She made just enough money to get by from the sales until a man with a scarred face approached her as a teen.
The man claimed that he could assist her sales, and aid her in developing the drug to make it even stronger than before.
Together, her and the man created an even stronger version of Shimmer. One that transformed the user into something nearly inhuman, and distributed it to thousands in the Undercity. Blythe didn't know what she had done until it was too late, and she was already fully working under the man, Silco.
She know works as a doctor, trying to make up for her sins.
