Oh my god !

Someone broke into the house when I was writing this morning. I get so scared ! I went hiding into the bathroom, taking a knife in the kitchen on my way there. I waited in the shower for what seemed an eternity, and finally the same someone came on the bathroom despite all my prayers in order to make him go away. I told you I didn't know how to pray !

I can't even start to describe the state of fear I was in. I was literally shaking, holding my knife with as much strength as I could whereas feeling sick.

However it turned out the stranger was Mrs Jimenez, mi professora de español. When she saw me she was as startled and shocked as I was. At least, I immediately stopped freaking out. I knew her. This was not some stranger. This was not a Robber trying to kill me or whatever. This was the youngest teacher I had last year, Mrs Jimenez. She broke into tears and said she was sorry to scared me. So weird. I was baffled so didn't know what to answer. She took my silence for an invitation and started to tell me her story since the moment she received the App on her phone.

She was driving when she received it so she didn't watch her cell immediately. However the driver of the car in front of her did and he suddenly stopped - braking as he was falling into his coma. She had a car accident. Anna (that's her name) also fainted because of the shock of the accident.

She woke up in the middle of the night when a Robber tried to stole her wallet and her keys. Unfortunately he succeeded and - terrified to see her alive - he ran away. Mrs Jimenez had difficulty to get out of her car and was petrified to discover the sleepers in the street. I cannot help but feel sorry for her : discovering our new world on TV had been hard enough so I can't imagine what she felt. Plus, she still has some scratches that looked somewhat painful on her face and arms today.

Mrs Jimenez went back home even though she had lost her key in the robbery. There she found her husband in the living-room. She found him asleep and tried to wake him up. Of course she didn't succeeded and spent the rest of the day crying on the body of her husband who was in a coma. During the night however someone opened the front door and she realized that the Robber must have found her address into her wallet. She fled through a window because she couldn't face a strong man by herself. She slept in her own garden, hiding into bushes. Of course, in the morning she tried to get back home but she saw the man through the window. And he wasn't alone : there were three guys in her kitchen, eating all of her food literally two feet away from the body of her husband.

Once again she fled and ran back to her car where she was hoping to find the school's key which weren't on the same key ring. She figured out high-school was probably a safe place to be. Luckily enough the previous day the robber didn't had time to find all of her stuff before she woke up and she knew where to look for.

In her way to the school though she finally realized she hadn't eat in two days and she was obviously hungry. That's when she started to look at houses around her, trying to find one that was empty to break into it. However this wasn't an easy task and that's only in her fifth attempt that she succeeded.

That's when she broke into my house.

Knowing all those details made me even more confused. I didn't know what to say to her. I was still feeling the fear inside of me but was also happy to see someone I knew in front of me. It was someone I could speak to ! Because seriously I was starting to become crazy being all by myself and even spoken to myself through this diary !!

I decided it was a good thing to have Anna Jimenez at home and I asked her if she wanted to go eat something in the kitchen. She blushed and told me she already had - while avoiding eye contact with me. I said I was hungry and she followed me.

To make it short we spent the afternoon in the kitchen. I told her my story since the beginning of the App-ocalypse and gave her all the details I could remember from the TV news (thanks to my diary it was easy yay !). She looked even more frightened that I was and cried a little more.

Then we looked at the food on the table of the kitchen and she told me she would understood if I wanted her to leave. I hesitated but thought it was better not to stay alone now that the world had gone wild. She agreed (of course) and felt relieved. She insisted I called her Anna, which somehow still feels weird to my ears. I didn't really like her as a teacher even if she was, I guess, the coolest ones.

Now we talked a lot this afternoon and we decided that maybe her original plan wasn't so bad. We decided to go together to high school tomorrow. We'll take all the food with us and knives to protect ourselves from robbers.

For the first time in three days, I feel confident enough thanks to this solid plan. Also, I know that I will sleep without fearing someone broke into the house. She is sleeping for now but she will soon take my place, watching the house to let me sleep peacefully a few hours.

I feel excited that we made the decision to leave the house. It was hard at first because it meant leaving behind my hope of seeing my parents back. However I chose to leave them a note in their room. Going there is the best decision we could make. The high school is a more secure place than a home since homes would obviously soon be assaulted by Robbers. We also discussed that and decided that we wouldn't become Robbers ourselves. We'll try to knock on some doors tomorrow to find more people and more food. Sure if no one is answering us, we'll try to break into the house and find something to eat. But that's all.

This is our way of staying human. Because it seems that it's all that matter now.
