The shithead wasn't that much of a shithead today. Shocker.

We woke up early this morning to go on our trip and try to find food. It wasn't a good way to start the day but we didn't have much of a choice. Anton did. And he chose to come with Anna, Georges & I. He basically told us all that I've been thinking since yesterday : "I'm a part of the family, but I'm also a part of the house and I eat just as much as you do. I should help you - if you're okay with it."

Of course we were. Hello guy I was basically waiting for you to be useful to our group. Anna wasn't sure this was a good idea - because his parents were still sleeping and she didn't want them to find out when he was gone. She convinced Georges it wasn't a good idea to go away without warning them. So we waited for them to wake up. That took forever.

Well it turned out there were ok with Anton coming with us. At least John was and had the last word. Adriana was clearly scared - but at the same time she was kind of proud to see her son was courageous. In other words she had a schizophrenic attitude about the whole thing but she finally let him go with us.

It took us fifteen minutes to find another house - thanks to Anton. Contrary to us he knew where he was going so he kind of saved up a lot of time. The first house was empty - there was nothing in it. Litterally. So was the second. It started as a very long long day.

Finally we arrived at the third farm of the neighbourhood. It wasn't empty - there was actually a lot of food right there in the garden. It was so isolated from the rest of the world that no one had thought to came here. Well that was a satisfying explanation, wasn't it ?

It was also bullshit.

We entered the house after we took all we could in the garden. Nothing had moved in the house - I mean the other farms were ravaged but this one was clean and everything, just as if the App-ocalypse never happened. It was clearly a signal screaming us that we should leave but we didn't and we took all the food we could get.

Until someone came out of nowhere, only wearing boxer and a bottle of scotch. Time stopped when he saw us. We were still in the kitchen and we didn't move. He didn't move either at first. Then he called for his "darling" because "we have troubles - take the gun".

So we fleed before we could see the darling. Georges was the closer to the door and had most of the food with him so he fleed first, giving us the signal to follow him. It was so scary knowing that half-naked old guy was chasing us that at first I didn't realized what happened behind me. He had grabbed Anna's arm. She cried - but Georges was already far beyond us. He runs really fast which shouldn't be a surprise to us: he's a sportive and athletic guy. Still we never really saw him run that fast - except maybe in high school but there were stairs to slow him down. Anyway he ran away and he couldn't help us.

I stopped Anton when I saw what happened. Luckily he was behind me so I could stop him. I made him watch what happened behind him - he didn't look when he heard the scream assuming it was "darling girl comin' with her gun".

What he did was really brave - and I shouldn't keep calling him a shithead. He just went to the guy - he was a middle-aged typically alcoholic guy - and punched him in the face. The guy let Anna go. Just in time. Darling - a middled-age women just as drunk as her husband/boyfriend/whatever - was there and shooting at were Anna was seconds before. They weren't joking.

So we ran. And we heard the shotgun behind us - aiming at us. So much for my resolution of not being shot at again. We didn't know how to get rid of them because they were following us. Luckily for us they were totally drunk so she wasn't really aiming - mostly she was shooting - and they stopped following us really fast. Why were they that drunk in the middle of the day? I can only guess the answer is : App-ocalypse-thing. It must be fun to waste a day in alcohol nowadays. I only drank twice and I had never experienced hangover. I'm still underage. Who cares now? I can do what I want. I must start a list of all the good things the App-ocalypse bring to me. It would be a great change of perspective because all I can think about is how it's a fucked up situation. But after all there are positive things, like meeting Anna as a person - not as a teacher.

Anna... Anton clearly saved her life earlier and we were lucky to have him with us. It's basically what I said yesterday - the more, the better. Now I guess he proved my point way more than I expected. And he was also way more than I expected in general. It was a bold move to go punch the guy in the face but it did work and saved Anna from a certain death. "Darling" was too drunk to realise what she was doing and was clearly trying to kill her with her first tentative of shooting her.

We fleed. We took wrong paths just to be sure we weren't followed. And then we came home after Georges said to Anna a million times he was sorry but was aiming at saving the food. We didn't tell all that happened to John & Adriana. Mostly we told them we found food and were lucky noone was here to stop us from stealing it.

After that Georges came to me and whispered: "You're such a typical teenage girl - lying like that to your parents".
