Now I know why Georges didn't come to get us yesterday...
I finally fell asleep even if I didn't want to. When I woke up this "morning", it was because someone was entering the room. I was relieved to see it was Xia and Anton so I told them discreetly I was here. They were crying. They hugged me. I didn't know what was going on, but I felt something terrible was happening.
I let Michael go out of his luggage and hugged him. I was so happy to see him again, I didn't want to spoil my happiness with whatever bad news Xia and Anton had. Anton was glad to see Michael and they poke each other, it was adorable how Michael tried to be a man in the way he showed his feelings towards Anton. He was a bit scared of Xia though and I can understand why. She's taller than me and more importantly her shirt was covered in blood. She is a bit scary anyway actually, even I have been scared of her sometimes.
It wasn't her blood, she told me. It was one of the army's guy. And yes, the guy was dead. She wasn't feeling that bad though because the guy threatened Anton. I can't understand that girl, she killed two men and is acting like it's no big deal. Anton didn't seem that cool with it, however he didn't say anything.
Nathan and Will also killed two men. Rose and Elaine saw two of them fleeing the airport with the car Anna and the others used to come here. Anna is fine. She was bleeding from her shoulders. Edmund protected her and told her to flee when they were under fire. She was so scared and ran so quickly that she fell in the stairs and knocked herself out though. She was out for most of yesterday and got lucky no one found her.
Edmund wasn't that lucky. He is in a state of shock. He didn't speak since yesterday. We don't really know how he got out alive. They were so many gunshots but apparently he is not harmed. Melissa is also fine, she was hiding since yesterday in the toilets in which we were first. She thought they would never check the same spot twice. Luckily enough, she was right.
Nathan told me what happened and why he killed one of the men. Rose was under attack and when he saw her attacked by military men he just entered in a trance and shot every one of them, aiming to kill them. He is almost certain he is the one who hurts Steven.
Steven is our prisoner. Yes, we're there: we have a prisoner. Will, Sebastian and Anton managed to lure him into a trap and to handcuffed him with some rope they found in the airport. They want him to talk and to reveal where the children are. I'm not sure he will speak but it is indeed a good idea.
Well, the bad news is... Georges is down. He is not dead but he was shot by a man Will then killed. He was shot in the stomach and we don't know what to do. He is unconscious but alive. He is not bleeding anymore and it seems like the bullet went through his body. So he may recover, but we really don't know.
I'm a little bit scared about what will happen to him. We really hope Suzanne will arrive, because she knows a surgeon and the surgeon is supposed to come with her – I think she's also a woman, maybe the woman to whom I spoke. The rest of us are all fine.
It is unbelievable, it looks like we were really lucky. Or maybe, and this is my theory, the army isn't trying to kill any of us. All we know is that they're collecting children, but they never killed anyone on purpose so far as we know, unlike Xia. They only shot people deciding to resist them and they didn't kill them. It doesn't make it OK, but it explains I guess a little bit more how we would survive almost without harm.
I spoke a lot with Michael today. Rose, Nathan, Elaine and Will had so much questions to ask him. We all wanted to know what he had to do with those army guys and what he would know. The truth is they didn't speak a lot to him during the last two weeks. They forced him to train everyday – he had to do a lot of sport. According to them, it was for his own good, so that he can protect himself from any threat.
They were the threat of course, but in the end it seems like they were nice to him, which is kinda a good news. They didn't come straight to New-York, they took time to stop in a lot of cities, looking in random houses. Michael heard them talk about finding other children. They also talked about a plane they were supposed to take. Michael is positive one of them was a pilot and was supposed to take them somewhere else, very far from the United States.
When they arrived at the airport, they left their protective suits because the airport was, according to them, safe. We have not quit our protective suits yet, even Georges still has it. We don't know if that's truly safe but we don't have any to give to Michael. We're almost out of oxygen bottle though, so we have to hope it is safe.
Anyway, they were preparing the plane when Georges and the others came in. They shot us mainly because they guessed who they were - and they were afraid of Xia. They knew they had made the mistake of talking about New-York in front of me. They knew we were after them and they were apparently really worried about us getting in their way, each step of the way.
Michael told us they questioned him about each one of us and especially about me. They seemed really interest about me, but I still don't know why. Anton suggested an hour ago that I should speak to Steven, since he doesn't want to talk to us. Maybe Steven will talk to me if he's really interested in me. We only know his name thanks to his uniform in which his name is written.
I'm not sure I want to do that but I promised them I will try when he'll wake up. We have nothing to lose after all. Xia is trying to contact our French friends thanks to the radio but they are not answering. We reached dead ends.
All our hope to see Georges recovers lies on French strangers. All our hope to find Nathan, Rose, Will and Elaine's children lies on Steven.
I guess I have to try to do something about it. I may help. I'll try to help.
