The set of Agatha All Along was typically a lively, spirited place. Between the on-screen magical mayhem and the off-screen camaraderie, there was rarely a dull moment. Pranks were a regular occurrence, each escalating in absurdity as if the cast and crew were trying to outdo themselves in chaos and creativity. But today, something shifted. Chaos had been unleashed, and it all started with a missing bag of sour gummy worms.
Y/n was curled up on the couch, her legs draped over Aubrey Plaza's lap, casually rummaging through her bag while Aubrey lazily scrolled through her phone. The two had taken over a corner of the set's lounge area, sharing snacks in companionable silence as they waited for the next scene. But something was missing.
"Where are my snacks?" Y/n muttered, frowning as her hands sifted through the jumbled contents of her bag. She'd been saving that bag of sour gummy worms all week, a hard-earned treat she'd been looking forward to since Monday.
Aubrey, leaning back with one arm draped over the back of the couch, nonchalantly reached into a shared bag of chips on the table. Without looking up from her phone, she replied, "Did you check your trailer? Maybe they walked off."
Y/n froze, narrowing her eyes at Aubrey's carefully disinterested tone. "You wouldn't know anything about this, would you?" she asked, her suspicion growing with every passing second.
Aubrey's lips curled into a faint smirk, her hand pausing mid-air with a chip. "Why would I take your snacks? That would be... petty," she said, her voice dripping with mock innocence.
Y/n tilted her head, giving her co-star a long, scrutinizing look. "Uh-huh. Petty is your middle name."
Aubrey gasped dramatically, clutching her chest as if Y/n had mortally wounded her. "How dare you. My middle name is actually Demon," she quipped with an air of mock dignity, popping the chip into her mouth.
Y/n rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a laugh. "You're the worst."
"I prefer to think of myself as misunderstood," Aubrey retorted, throwing a chip at Y/n for emphasis.
The exchange ended there, but Y/n's suspicions lingered. She couldn't shake the feeling that Aubrey's smirk hid more than she let on. Later, the truth was revealed when Y/n wandered into the crew's kitchenette for a bottle of water.
Opening the freezer, she froze in disbelief. Sitting dead center on the top shelf was her precious bag of gummy worms-encased in a solid block of ice. The worms were distorted. Their vibrant colors refracted through the frosty barrier like a rainbow trapped in time. Y/n stared at the icy monstrosity, torn between outrage and amusement.
Slowly, her lips curved into a devilish grin. "Oh, it's on," she whispered, already scheming her revenge.
Aubrey entered her trailer the next day, her coffee in hand and her lines memorized, fully prepared for another day on set. She opened the door, took one confident step inside, and froze.
Her trailer had been glittered-literally. Every surface, from the small chair by the vanity to the table where her script usually rested, was blanketed in a fine layer of sparkling chaos. Glitter shimmered under the morning light streaming through the window, cascading like a mischievous snowfall. Even her carefully arranged props and personal items weren't spared; her sunglasses sparkled, her hairbrush glimmered, and her once-pristine script was now a dazzling work of unintended art.
Aubrey blinked slowly, setting her coffee down on the least glittered spot she could find, which still left her hand dusted with gold. She brushed her fingertips on her pants, to no avail-the glitter stuck like a curse.
From a safe distance, Y/n watched the scene unfold, biting her lip so hard she worried she might draw blood. She crouched behind a parked golf cart, struggling to keep her laughter contained as Aubrey surveyed the sparkly carnage with her usual deadpan expression.
