The morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a soft glow over the Vidal household. Agatha stirred awake to the muffled sound of excited chatter downstairs. Reaching over to the nightstand for her phone, she blinks at the screen as it lights up.

School Closed Due to Weather Conditions

A rare snowstorm had swept through Westview overnight, blanketing the small town in pristine white. Agatha chuckled to herself and swung her legs over the edge of the bed, pulling on a thick cardigan and sliding her feet into warm slippers. The sharp chill in the air hinted at how cold it must be outside, but the muffled laughter downstairs drew her in.

Padding down the stairs, she found Y/n standing at the living room window, practically bouncing on her toes. The teenager's breath fogged up the glass as she pressed her nose closer, mesmerized by the winter wonderland outside. She was dressed in mismatched pajamas-a pair of plaid pants and an oversized hoodie-and looked like someone who had just discovered the magic of snow.

Rio stood nearby, sipping her coffee and smirking at her daughter's enthusiasm. She wore a thick cable-knit sweater over leggings, a cozy outfit that looked effortlessly put together despite its early hours.

"You're up early," Agatha remarked, her voice rough with sleep as she entered the room.

Y/n spun around, her face lighting up when she saw her. "Agatha, have you seen outside? It's like..." She gestured dramatically at the window. "Like a postcard! A dream! Like something out of a Christmas movie!"

Agatha ambled to the window, rubbing her arms to shake off the lingering chill. The world beyond the glass was a pristine sea of white, the snow glittering in the sunlight. She let out a low hum of approval. "It is beautiful," she admitted, watching the delicate snowflakes that still drifted lazily to the ground. "And it looks like you've got the day off."

"Which means," Y/n started, her eyes sparkling with hope, "we can go outside, right? Build snowmen? Maybe a snow fort? Oh, oh, and snowball fights! Please!"

Rio snorted into her coffee, shaking her head with a fond smile as she ruffled Y/n's hair. "Hold your horses, Frosty. We haven't even had breakfast yet."

"But it's snow," Y/n whined, dragging out the word dramatically. "Breakfast can wait. Snow doesn't stick around forever!"

Rio smirked, crossing her arms as she leaned against the doorframe. "A snowball fight before breakfast? That doesn't sound like the responsible daughter I raised."

"I never said I was responsible," Y/n quipped, her grin mischievous.

Agatha raised an eyebrow, exchanging a glance with Rio. "Where did she learn to sass like that?"

"Definitely from you," Rio deadpanned, earning an indignant scoff from Agatha.

"Okay, okay," Y/n cut in, practically vibrating with energy. "Snow first or breakfast first? Democracy, let's vote!"

Agatha chuckled. "Tell you what. If you set the table, I'll whip up some pancakes. Then, if you promise to bundle up like an Arctic explorer, we'll head outside and see if we can..." She paused, feigning dramatic uncertainty. "What did you say? Build snowmen?"

Y/n's eyes widened with excitement, and before Agatha had even finished her sentence, she was already sprinting toward the kitchen. "Deal!" she called over her shoulder, her voice echoing down the hallway.

Rio shook her head, watching her daughter with a fond smile. "It's going to be impossible to keep calm today."

Agatha shrugged, following Rio into the kitchen. "She's a teenager who's never had a proper snow day. I say let her be impossible."
