Y/n and Taylor had just taken the plunge and bought a charming little house nestled in the heart of a small town. They were only a few houses down from Agatha and Rio, and after much thought, they'd decided to settle here, close to the people they loved most. The move was filled with excitement and anticipation. With a baby on the way, they wanted to create a peaceful space for themselves and their growing family, a place full of warmth and love. But as any home renovation goes, there was a lot of work to be done. And so, they turned to Agatha and Rio for help.

The guest bedroom had always been on Y/n and Taylor's radar, but now that they were getting closer to welcoming their baby, it had quickly become the top priority. They'd turned the room into a nursery-a space where their little one could grow up surrounded by love and family. But of course, a lot of elbow grease was needed, and that's where Agatha and Rio came in.

"Are you sure you're up for all this, darling?" Agatha asked as she surveyed the room with a critical eye. She was already pulling tools out of a small bag she'd brought with her, eyeing the baseboards and walls with the kind of determination that made her seem like she could fix just about anything with her hands and a bit of focus.

Y/n nodded, already rolling up her sleeves. "I can handle it, Mama. We've got a lot to do today, but I'm excited."

Agatha's eyes softened, though she still gave her daughter an appraising look. "I know you are. But you must also remember that you're not just working on the room. You're growing a tiny person in there," Agatha said, gently placing her hand on Y/n's stomach, her gaze filled with warmth and concern. "Take it easy."

Y/n gave her a small smile, brushing off her worries. "I'm fine, really. We've got this." She was trying to put on a brave face, but it was hard to ignore the fact that everything felt a bit more complicated now that she was five months pregnant.

Rio appeared in the doorway as if on cue, holding a measuring tape in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. "Alright, so I've got some ideas for the crib placement," Rio said, her voice calm and steady, always contrasting with Agatha's more guarded approach. "But first, let's figure out how we will organize the chaos here."

Agatha raised an eyebrow at her wife, clearly unconvinced by Rio's sudden enthusiasm. "You're not planning to magically do everything, are you?"

Rio gave a playful wink. "Well, I was planning to get some magic involved, but only for the heavy lifting." She shrugged. "You know, practical stuff."

Y/n watched as Rio started drawing an invisible outline in the air, and before anyone could protest, the dresser slid across the room and into place. Taylor, who had been holding a stack of baby clothes in one hand, froze, blinking at the spot where the dresser had just been.

"Rio," Taylor said, shaking her head in disbelief. "I'm trying to make this a normal renovation." But even Taylor couldn't hide the smile that tugged at her lips. She had gotten used to Rio's ways over the past few months but still couldn't help but be in awe of how effortless Rio made it seem.

"I'm helping, not taking over," Rio quipped with a grin. "Let's get this baby's room ready."

As the morning went on, it became clear that Y/n wouldn't do much alone. Whenever she picked up a paintbrush or tried to move something, Agatha, Rio, and even Taylor would quickly intervene, insisting that she rest.

"Why don't you sit with me for a bit, sweetheart?" Agatha said, coming over to where Y/n had arranged small items on the dresser. "I'm sure there's something I can help you with."

Y/n chuckled softly, brushing her hair out of her face. "You're always looking out for me. I guess I'll take a break for now."

Agatha guided her daughter to the couch, sitting down next to her. Y/n's gaze flickered around the room. The walls were still bare, the crib hadn't been set up yet, and there was so much left to do-but somehow, sitting with her mom, it felt like everything would be okay.

"I just want to help more, you know?" Y/n said softly, her fingers idly smoothing out the wrinkles on a small baby blanket. "I feel like there's so much I want to do for the baby, and I don't want to sit out while everyone works."

Agatha smiled gently, picking up one of the small onesies Y/n had folded and set it neatly in a box. "You're already doing everything you need to. You're the one carrying this little one. That's the most important job in the world."

Y/n sighed, leaning back on the couch and resting her hand on her stomach. "I know, but it feels like I'm not doing enough."

"You're doing more than enough," Agatha reassured her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close. "You're part of this family. And no matter how much work is left, we'll do it together."

From across the room, Rio gave a knowing look to Taylor, who was carefully assembling the crib. The two women shared a glance, and Rio's smile softened. "Look at how much she's grown," Rio told Taylor. "I'm so proud of her, you know?"

Taylor paused, wiping her hands on her jeans, and looked over at Y/n and Agatha. "I can tell. You two have done a great job raising her."

Rio smiled, her eyes soft with affection. "We've done our best. But she's always been this strong, this determined. And now, she's building a life with you. I can't think of anything better."

Taylor smiled back, her heart full. "We're trying our best, too."

As the morning turned to afternoon, the room began to transform. Rio and Taylor had easily set up the crib, and the walls had been painted a soft pastel yellow-perfect for a nursery. Agatha had finished sorting through the baby clothes, folding each with meticulous care.

Y/n, still resting on the couch, felt a deep sense of gratitude wash over her. Her moms, Rio and Agatha, had always been there for her, even when things weren't perfect. And now, they were here, helping her build something new and beautiful. It wasn't just the nursery they created-it was a home. A place where love, laughter, and memories would fill the air for years to come.

Y/n smiled as she looked at Taylor, who was now carefully hanging a picture frame with a photo of them together. "I think it's starting to feel like home."

Taylor turned and grinned. "It definitely is." She stepped over to Y/n, taking her hand. "We're making it ours. All of ours."

Agatha and Rio both looked on with pride, the love in the room palpable as the last touches were put on the nursery. A small mobile dangled above the crib, the soft colors complementing the room's gentle warmth. It was ready, a symbol of their future.

"This is perfect," Y/n said, her voice thick with emotion.

Agatha kissed the top of her daughter's head. "I'm so proud of you, Y/n. Of everything you're doing."

Rio, standing beside Agatha, nodded in agreement. "This baby is already surrounded by so much love."

Y/n leaned against Taylor, who wrapped an arm around her. "It feels like everything's coming together," Y/n whispered.

At that moment, with the nursery complete and the family standing together, the house felt like more than just a home. It was a haven full of love, laughter, and new beginnings.
