Part 3: Jay

Kaylee's POV
I felt a bit better talking to Archie, though. He didn't push me like the others. He just let me talk or not talk, depending on how I felt. And right now, I felt like everything was too much to explain. I didn't even know where to start.
Kaylee: I'm sorry
Archie: Sorry for what?
Kaylee: For... everything. For making everything harder than it has to be. For not just doing what I'm supposed to
Archie: Stop Kaylee. You don't need to apologize for anything. You're dealing with more than most people ever will. If anyone's got reason to be frustrated it's you not the other way around
Kaylee: I just wish it was different. I wish I was different
Archie: You're not broken. You're just human. And trust me that's more than enough
I wanted to believe him. I really did. But right now, it felt impossible.

Hanks POV
Jay had come around and he was way more lucid but still out of it
Jay: wanna go home
Hank: lemme talk to Hailey okay
I went down to the front desk
Hank: Hailey
Hailey: what's up Hank?
Hank: Jay had some sort of breakdown and he had a seizure
Hailey: what happened?
Hank: he was in a bit of a mood when he came in and then he got a call from the school. Seemed like that was the icing on the cake
Hailey: he didn't sleep well last night and I don't think he took any meds
Hank: he's probably gonna need to go to med. I think he's broke his hand
Hailey: great. I'm good to go?
Hank: yeah. You want help getting him to the car?
Hailey: yeah he's probably gonna go all dead weight. I'll be in the car
I went up and helped Jay into the car.
Hank: I'll let Kaylee know.

Hailey PoV
I drove us to med and helped him in.
Jay: im sorry
Hailey: there's nothing to be sorry for
Connor came over
Connor: what's happened?
Hailey: some kinda outburst and then he had a seizure. It looks like he's broken his hand as well and he's got glass in his knuckles
Connor: Jay let's get you over here
Connor helped him over to the bed and got an X-ray of his hand
Connor: it is broken so I'll clean his hand up before putting it in a splint.
I looked over at Jay and he looked a bit spaced out
Hailey: Jay baby you okay?
Jay: d-d-don't don't
Hailey: baby just breathe
I turned to Connor
Hailey: Connor he's gonna start seizing
Connor: Jay let's get you laid back
Connor helped him lay back and rolled him onto his side
Jay: h-hurts. Kaylee? Blue monkeys in space
Jays body tensed before he started seizing
Hailey: Connor
Connor: April!
April came running in
Connor: push 2mg Ativan
April put it in his IV but it wasn't slowing
Connor: April another 2
Another 2mg was given and the seizure began to slow down before stopping completely
Connor: we're gonna keep him on anti convulsants
After about 20 minutes Jay started to come around
Jay: here
Hailey: what?
Jay: the cops
Hailey: shhh baby settle
Jay: they're coming. He hurt me
Hailey: you're okay
Jay: the strange man. He's here. He's waiting
Hailey: calm down baby. You're safe
I looked at Connor
Connor: he's postictal. This is normal
He tried to sit up
Connor: I just need you to stay laying down okay
Jay: here
Hailey: I'm here
Jay: no him
Hailey: you're safe
Jay: tired
Connor: I'll leave you to rest

Kaylee PoV
My phone started ringing and it was Hank
Hank: Kaylee listen okay. I'm on my way to get you.
Kaylee: I've still got an hour
Hank: don't freak out. Jays at med
Kaylee: What?
Hank: it's nothing bad. He broke his hand
Kaylee: how?
Hank: he got angry and punched the lockers and worked himself up into a seizure
Kaylee: but he's okay?
Hank: yeah. I'll be like 5 minutes.
Kaylee: okay I'll wait im the car park

I went and signed myself out and waited for Hank. He soon pulled up and I got in. We arrived at med and I got out before Hank even had a chance to put the car in park. I walked in and saw Maggie
Maggie: he's in treatment 2
I walked in and dad was asleep and he had a splint on his hand.
Connor: hey trouble
Kaylee: is he okay?
Connor: he's gonna be fine. He just seems to be having a rough day
Hailey stood up and walked over and pulled me into a hug
Hailey: I know it's scary but he's gonna be okay
Connor: we should get you Halsteads a loyalty card
Hailey: after 5 visits the next visits free
Kaylee: ha ha
Connor: not amused
Kaylee: don't quit you're day job Connor
Connor: wow
