"It's... a Reality Marble?!"
The magus present exclaimed in astonishment.
This was a phenomenon only they could understand, a miracle only they could comprehend.
"To change the scene of the castle instantaneously... undoubtedly, this is the Phantom that Erodes Reality. A Reality Marble."
Alice's eyes sparkled with excitement. She never thought she would witness a Reality Marble in her lifetime.
"Can that brute really achieve such a feat?"
Even Kayneth, who was attending the premiere in London, was equally shocked by Iskandar's Noble Phantasm.
His deeper understanding of magecraft allowed him to appreciate the significance of Reality Marbles even more.
"Indeed, I was quite startled the first time I saw this Noble Phantasm," Waver commented coolly, crossing his arms as he sat beside Kayneth.
"But the scenes shot for this sequence weren't actually filmed within the Reality Marble," Waver whispered to his teacher, sharing a secret known only to the crew members.
"They weren't?" Kayneth looked at Waver with surprise.
"No, directly incorporating the film crew and other actors into the Reality Marble would require too much prana," Waver shook his head. "Plus, the lighting inside the Marble is too intense and not suitable for filming."
Filming a movie isn't like shooting a vlog where the cameraman just enters the Marble, films, and it's done. Composition of the scene, lighting, camera movement, all these factors need to be considered before filming.
Even if they rushed, the crew still needed at least two to three hours to set up and shoot inside the Reality Marble.
So, Shinji decided to build the set outside while referencing the Reality Marble, allowing Iskandar to summon his soldiers from within the Marble during filming.
It seemed like summoning soldiers would require more prana, but when factoring in preparation time, the energy consumption was much less than entering the Marble.
The same situation occurred in the extended version of FSN during the battle between Archer and Caster. Because entering the Reality Marble was too cumbersome, Shinji had Archer project his Noble Phantasm into the real world before his demise.
Shinji's foresight was commendable; after all, it would be a waste to introduce UBW, a major selling point, in the Fate route. He could save it for when they eventually adapted UBW.
This was the first time Alice, a die-hard Fate fan, had seen Heroic Spirits using Reality Marbles. However, this didn't diminish her admiration for Matou Shinji.
"To be able to summon Heroic Spirits capable of using Reality Marbles, he must have a much deeper understanding of them than us! He might even be the first magus in nearly a century to reproduce Reality Marbles!"
A Reality Marble is a projection of one's inner world, a magic that materializes the innermost desires and thoughts of a person.
As a subtype of "fantasy materialization," Reality Marbles are the closest to "true magic" and the magic that ordinary magus can most easily approach.
Because theoretically, as long as a person's inner world is strong enough, they can use a Reality Marble, meaning that anyone has the potential to succeed.
The disparity between theory and reality is as vast as the difference between Arturia Lily's and Emperor Nero's bust sizes.
Despite the Clock Tower listing Reality Marbles as one of the forbidden spells, if a legitimate mage were to successfully use one, they'd likely be revered by the entire Clock Tower.
