I. Content (33/40 points)

1. Plot/Storyline (9.5/10 points)

- Originality and creativity

This book is another stereotypical one with the contract marriage kind of concept I have reviewed but the idea of making both the main leads understand each other was so well executed that it made me fell in love with the total concept even though it wasn't one that was new. Kudos to your work!

- Engagement and interest

The whole idea, perfect blend of scenes and the fitting choice of characters and their personalities made the reader totally engrossed into the storyline.

- Well-structured and coherent

The fact that the paragraphs were kept short but the chapter length was increased looked like a totally achieving idea for it didn't fell heavy on the head of the readers. The overall structure was well structured and coherent.

2. Character Development (8.5/10 points)

- Believable and relatable characters

The characters and their personalities were well matched. The descriptions, their work ethics and overall contributions were flawlessly done. A bit more detail and background information about the side characters as well as Eleanor would provide a good shift from the always melancholic environment provided by Serephina and her griefs.

The incorrect quotes at the last were very refreshing. Instead of making a different chapter it would be a good idea to use these altogether in the storyline itself.

- Well-developed protagonist and antagonist

Serephina as a protagonist was such a fitting choice. Her fire and fury yet her fragility all were so well embodied in her character that it made her one of a kind. Not only her character but her selflessness and at the very same time the boldness and her way of letting things go when needed was truly inspiring. Not obly was she depicted as a powerful woman but her struggles and what she felt was clearly potrayed. Which made her a very believable character since she wasn't shown as someone perfect but her vulnerability was presented to the audience as well.

Lucien on other hand was a man of word and a man of duty but somehow i felt this character was made overly impulsive and hypocritic like he killed Alessandro to free Serephina from a treacherous life but altogether chained her to a life of treachery. He didn't do justice neither to Eleanor nor Serephina. Even though Serephina bought Eleanor again in their lives, Lucien was the one to readily accept her despite everything. He might be a man of word and duty but unfortunately failed as a man of character.

Eleanor is a character whose importance is yet to come out for I kind of believe there is more beneath the surface of the mask she wears. One of the places Lucien does mention about Eleanor having Russian friends, that might be a beginning of betrayal or something more than that on her part.

- Character growth and transformation

We can se the transformation in both the characters at theend of part 1. The realization that hit Serephina, how much has she lost herself in this ruckus and Lucien realizing the harm he has caused was truly a turning point and made the readers look forwards to the next part.
