Soooo I decided to draw Poppy Playtime characters. Catnap, DogDay, and Huggy weren't all that good, but I eventually turned my attention to Doey bcs yes. I wanted to alter the designs of the characters a bit, for example, make CatNap look more like he was stalking the player, bigger or sort of define the shoulder joints and such, give Huggy claws, stuff like that. I thought to Doey's boss form, and brain went 'hmmm is very lizard. Oooh! Make more lizard!' And so now I have an altered version of Boss Doey. Idk if anything here specifically would count as spoilers for Chaoter 4 or other Chapters, but I will put a warning to be cautious just in case. I don't wanna ruin someone's experience :)

I went VERY lizard here, as you can see. He has his hat, as always, and all the extra limbs, but like, I tried to be different. So I noticed the three hands on normal Doey's stomach there, and went 'I'ma make it connect on his chest' so that's there. He shoots projectiles at some point in the fight, so rather than them being from his mouth, they shoot off as spines on his back and shoulders. The three faces aren't in the mouth(and there's playdoh stretching and opening in his mouth, as you can see as well), instead I made them just the eyes and hands. Kevin, the angry one, is the dominant pair of eyes, and you can tell they're angry. The two dark spots ahead of his eyes are Matthew and Jack(I think that was their names) and I tried to make them look sad. The hands are still in his mouth, one at the edge (near his hat) and several coming out, and just like in the game, some are trying to keep it open or close it depending on what the scene is. Kevin's hands would be the one's reaching out to the player, and there's small pairs of arms on his neck and in between his front legs and the two arms in the middle. He has spines down his neck, which meet and then end at the spines across his shoulders, and they trail down his front arms. You'll notice the front two legs and the back leg have actual claws instead of points, that was me trying to show they weren't hands lol
Anyway I'm kinda proud of it, I miss Doey, and I'm contemplating doing a digital art version of this so let me know if that'd interest you :)

So I made a few adjustments; namely I have him more wavy spots and the zigzagging pattern is bigger. That's kinda it. Now for the colors!

I tried so hard to make the smudges look like patches where the playdoh mixed too much but idk if it worked as well as I'd hoped 😔 oh well. Anyway I made his eyes glow, if you look really close you can see that the big eye and smaller eyes are slightly different colors! The red hand is the primary other color on him bcs I imagine that was Kevin(hence his hand being across the majority of Doey's body, then Matthew's and then Jack's.) I hope it turned out alright for y'all, and any constructive criticism or feedback is welcome and appreciated! :)
