Okay so I made(and have since then updated a little on my own) a character sheet for something maybe a day or two ago. Here's some of it. I'm not writing this as a legitimate story, this literally came from the '*Blows up pancakes with mind* "my F***ing pancakes–" (It blows up)' meme. An hour later, the concept of this story formed. It genuinely lacks any real plot, but I made some moments from it and I'm not that good at the comedic affect I was going for, but either way, I hope you enjoy! :)
David is a 24-year old man who's just gotten in contact with a group of people sharing housing, and gotten a lease.
He probably should have questioned the fact that there are far too many people in this house, and it's shockingly cheap, but honestly, how bad could it be? The person he'd contacted seemed nice enough, and assures him that he'd have plenty of space.
He had no idea what that would entail.
They call it 'The Lodge'.
An enormous house that could house at least 17 people comfortably. Made of logs and with moss on the shingles, it looks old, feels old, and seems unreal. David notes that there's only three vehicles parked: a van, a motorcycle, and a bike, if you count a bike as a vehicle. They'd told him to walk here for some reason, so he had, carrying only two suitcases of clothes and a backpack of personal belongings. Approaching the door, he also notices that there's flower beds, soiled and perfect for planting, but no sorts of greenery. Surely there's a reason for that–maybe it's not the right time for what they want to plant? The door opens before he can knock, revealing a ginger with long, curly hair and freckles dotting her nose. There's something in her gaze that reminds him of a cat. She takes one look at him and leans back into the house. "He's here!" She yells, several scuffling and thumps following her announcement. "Hi...?" David says, as someone else comes into sight. He has short, straight hair, dyed a very striking shade of blue. It makes his dark eyes stand out, and he ushers the girl away to take her place. "Hello! Uh. David, right?" He greets, leaning on the door. It could do with some fixing up, it looks like there's scratches and wear on the edges. "Yeah. You're...Connor?" The man nods brightly. "Yeah! Come on in, no need to keep you standing out there." Connor moves to take one of David's suitcases and let him move inside. The hallway is dark, like they left off the lights, however once the door closes, they turn on. There doesn't appear to be any switches within arm's reach, though, so maybe someone else turned them on? "Right. So, first thing I gotta tell you is that...we have a certain way we live in here, and, well...c'mere." Connor starts, then goes to open what David had assumed to be a closet. The door appears to be locked. "Dante!" The man shouts. There's an audible click, and when he tries the handle again, it opens. He steps into the room, followed by David. Almost instantly, he turns around to look at the doorway. This room is not the correct shape. It's too big, and the window is on the right side, not the left. His attention is then drawn to the several other people in the room. "Everyone, this is David. He's the new guy." Connor states, patting him on the shoulder. There's eight people, each one seeming off in some way. Connor's hair being electric blue seems to be his clue, but there's also a person who is wearing a strap of cloth over his eyes, another girl that looks younger than David has rubber boots on, and yet another person has several bandages over their face and hands. "Hello." A woman with blue eyes and purple hair says, the first to respond as she stands up. "Hi." David replies. Is he supposed to feel as awkward as he does? "Name's Natalie. You can call me Nat or Nattie. I assume Connor's already told you his name?" He nods, and the woman grins at her friend. "He's probably the nicest out of all of us. He'll help you get settled later. Anyway, who's next?" She asks, glancing around the room. The man with cloth over his eyes stands, looking directly at David. There's an awkward silence as neither he nor anybody else speaks. "One second." He tells them, sounding either very tired or like he's very distracted. "Right." He pulls the cloth up to his forehead, showing his dark eyes, though he winces and covers them again. "Forgot. Lights. Uh. Hi, I'm Alexander." He tells him, then sits back down as Natalie elaborates. "Alexander struggles with focusing in bright lights–or any, actually. So when the lights aren't off, he'll put something on to cover his eyes." Makes sense, he figures. "Well, I'm Anna." The girl with rubber boots on announces, standing up. She has a jean jacket on, covered in various iron-on patches and pins. "I can't touch the floor." She states, as though this is a very casual thing to admit. "Oh." David doesn't want to be rude, so he doesn't comment on it. "Keys?" Natalie asks, speaking to a boy with grey hair and fingerless gloves. He's wearing a T-shirt. "I'm Dante. I keep the keys, so they think I might as well be called that." He sighs. From the smirks, nobody here is sorry.
