Kiana walked down into the hideout, her fingers clasped over her coat. After Mt. Taixuan, her Herrscher powers have been more under control as for voice of Sirin, it has mostly dissipated with only a few occurrence once in awhile.

"Miss Kiana, good work out there." Sussanah greeted her as she opened the broken metallic door. Behind her was Sal, who had a blush on his cheeks.

"Thank you Sussanah." She happily replied.

Despite Anti-Entropy and Schicksal's rocky relationship, Kiana didn't mind the blonde girl. She was a good person and friend.

"Idiotka was so impatient because of being away from her Sal," Bronya who was still in her Hersscher form deadpanned. "that she blasted through waves of Honkai beasts while also damaging friendly units."

"Hey!" Kiana defended herself. "It wasn't because of that."

"Sure, idiotka."

Sussanah, who was watching, felt her shoulder tense as she felt a sharp pain in her chest. Her lips parted slowly as if trying to say something, but she stopped and smiled at the white haired girl.

"Now, now, Miss Kiana, you don't have to hide it."

"Not you too, Susannah!" Kiana was pouting. "Help me here, dork."

Sussanah felt that pain intensify a bit more as her fingers gripped the strap of the bag ever so tightly. Not wanting to show her expression to her childhood friend, she gazed downwards.

"Don't rope me in dumbo, and also don't get so impatient." He gave her a headpat. Unaware of Sussanah's emotions. "I am not going anywhere."

"I know." She smiled as she quickly stole a hug from him.

"Now go rest." He pointed towards the hideout. "Leave the next wave to me and Sussanah."

"Don't act too recklessly."

"I could say the same for you."

"Ugh," Kiana visibly repulsed.

"The Bronya can confirm she was absolutely reckless."

"Thanks for the backup there, Bronya."

"Always."

"Now now," Susannah, who was silently watching until now, took a deep breath and entered the conversation. "Don't bully Miss Kiana, I am sure she was doing everything she could."

"Sussanah," Kiana's eyes teared up as she scooped her into a hug. "You are so precious. Don't ever turn out to be like them."

"Hehe, Miss Kiana." She ducked her head as the white-haired girl gave her a flurry of head pats.

"Oh my God, you are so precious."

Susannah gave a warm smile; however, it faltered, when she her gaze fell over Sal's smile. Memory from moments ago flickered in her mind. The confession and her unreasonable request to no longer be seen as a friend. It all came back.

Her gaze hardened as her cheeks tightened despite Kiana's warmth. She felt like a bad person. It was as if she were trying to steal her friend's happiness. But even then, she couldn't help it. She really did love Sal.

Afterwards, Sal and Sussanah made their way to the second wave and fought the Honkai while Kiana and Bronya rested. As the morning sun dawned over the childhood friend, the duo fell upon each other laughing.

"798 Honkai Beasts," Sal announced his kill count.

"Tsk," Susannah clicked her tongue through the exhaustion. "Only if I could pay more attention. I would have had a thousand kills."

"Sure, Scramble Brains." Sal gave her a sting eye. "So can you enlighten me dear Miss Manatt why was it that you couldn't pay attention."

"Because I was watching the person I love being cool."

Sal went quiet as his eyes widened. A small blush crept into his cheeks.

"Hehe," Sussanah gave him a smirk as she hid her lips using her left hand. "Did that make your heart skip a beat?"

Sal turned his head to the other side with a sulky look.

"Good, good," She giggled. "Keep acting like that, and you will fall for me in no time."

Despite of what she said, Susannah couldn't help but feel a sharp stan through her heart, every time she remembered how Kiana's eyes lit up the moment she saw Sal.

She knew she was being an unreasonable woman, but she couldn't help it. She has been in love with this idiot for far too long. Longer than Kiana had known him. That's why she didn't want to let him go.
