As the sun started to hide behind the horizon, there was a trickle of orange rays that embraced Kiana's arm. She was no longer in her Herrscher form and was now wearing her white-orange outfit. The three-day mission was finally over, and yet the emotional rollercoaster she had gone through felt like it was far from reaching its conclusion.

A gentle ocean breeze blew towards her, accompanied with the melodical sounds of wave crashing. Her white locks, which now we're open, gently fluttered. She sighed again. Her fingers grabbed the glittery sand, trying to root her to the present but she couldn't. This beach reminded her of the time Sal told her about his past. Even so it was brief, with lot of things omitted or hidden, it was still something she couldn't forget.

Bringing her knees to her chest, she tightly hugged them.

Fu Hua: Kiana?

Kiana: Oh, I didn't notice you coming Incho. Are the Hyperion's escorts here?

Fu Hua shook her head and sat next to the girl. "No, not yet."

"I see..." Kiana replied. There was a silence, as the waves filled their fray. Fu Hua who had an idea about the white hair girl's ordeal could do nothing but symphatize.

Kiana: Incho, you know... I think I might be a terrible person.

Fu Hua: Hm? (She didn't want to overreact or comfort her. Because she knew that wasn't what Kiana wanted to hear.)

Kiana: Ever since you asked me about love. I have been thinking...a lot. I tried to remember the time I was so sure that I was in love with Mei that I declared she was my bride... But now when I try to think about it I feel like such a liar.

Fu Hua nodded and signalled her to continue.

Kiana: (Takes a deep breath) Back then, being with Mei... No falling for Mei was convenient. Not that I didn't like her or didn't harbour romantic feelings for her... But it was just too convenient for me. I could go about doing things and get away with it, then return to the dorm, eat dinner made by her, and no matter what happened, I could hide behind her in the guise of love.

Fu Hua: And now you feel it was wrong?

Kiana: Yes... Because... now I can't look at her the same way... It is as if I loved her when it was convenient for me, and when it wasn't, I just stopped loving her because- (She abruptly stopped as an image of Sal giving her a sweet smile popped up. As a slight blush appeared on her face, she gently used her knees to cover them. Lately, all she could think of was him; his smile, the way he always looked at her, his sea-green eyes distant yet kind and gentle.)

Fu Hua: You know, Kiana, what you just described now is life.

Kiana gave her a confused gaze.

Fu Hua: Sometimes you fall out of love with someone you really thought you could have a future with. And it hurts; (She gave a pause as her fingers played with the sand) Not because you fell out, but because it seems you betrayed yourself.
