Fu Hua: You never really told me about your time in the Philippines.
Kiana: I thought you saw? Like, weren't you following us or something?
Fu Hua: You make me sound like a creepy stalker, and to answer your question, no. It was only in the fourth month that I regained consciousness.
Kiana: Well... So I mean it was fun, somewhat, but... You know how tough it can be to stay undercover sometimes... (She was fidgeting with her cheeks red) Like you know, for a boy and a girl. And wherever we went, they would ask for like proof of our relationship and stuff.
Fu Hua: Oh yeah I remember, after the Honkai outbreaks many Asian countries had become very strict letting foreigners in.
Kiana: Exactly and well... So to make things easier Sal and I well got kinda married... It wasn't like real Or anything just a fake marriage to get like house on rents and other amenities.
Fu Hua: Oh yeah, make sense, you got ma- Wait what?!
Kiana: You heard it. I am not repeating myself.
Fu Hua: Wait, so you and Sal got fake married to keep hiding from others.
Kiana nodded. Her eyes gazed at the morning sun breaking from over the glittery Atlantic Ocean.
Fu Hua: Wow, I never thought you two would go that far.
Kiana: You make it sound like we were doing something wrong.
Fu Hua: Did you?
Kiana:(giggling as if remembering fond memories) Nah, he isn't that type of guy, Fu Hua. He was most repulsed by the idea of us getting fake married, but even so, he went with it to make sure that I am safe. Though I would have preferred if he weren't too repulsed.
Fu Hua: I see. Well, he might have his issues, but his heart has always been in the right place.
Kiana: Right? I am sure one of these days he will find someone nice. (Her voice went quiet as she murmured the last part) Though I don't know how would I react if he does.
Meanwhile, Fu Hua, who was watching her friend, had a bittersweet smile on her face. The weight of guilt is heavier than anything in this world. And despite knowing where her heart belonged, she saw Kiana conflicted as she held back. She loved her dear Sal Apocalypse and would not let anyone have her but at the same time she was too confused by herself that she didn't know how to accept him.
Though in due time, she would be fine. After all, there was nowhere in this world she'd rather be than beside her dork.
