When She Finds You ~Garnet~

(Garnets POV)

I get off of the WarpPad. I had told the others to stay at home and take a break with Steven. When I left they had been playing a board game. I shake my head and smile, walking forward. I look around, I was out to look for Peridot. I turn my head and see her with a small basket in her hands, I summon my gauntlets.

"PERIDOT!", I yelled and she turns around with wide eyes.

"Oh great just what I need!", She exclaims as she turns around and runs.

"Surrender! I have you trapped!", I say as she reaches a dead end.

"Ugh you Crystal Clod! This isn't the end of meeeee!", She yelled as she ran up the wall that trapped her, she had gotten away.

I growl in frustration. I look down, noticing that she had dropped the basket. I reach down for it when I see her face looking down at me.

"Oh great! You know what take that thing! I've already killed the ones who had it!", She screamed as she retreated.

I raise and eyebrow and continue to stare at the spot where she once stood. I a just my shades and lower my gaze to the basket. I again reach down, opening the lid I gasp. Inside was a small human baby girl. She had (h/l) (h/c) and was wearing a (f/c) outfit. She looked up at me with large (e/c) eyes and smiled with a, what Steven would call "derpy", expression.

"She took this human infant from its home and killed her parents?", I say clenching my fists.

The baby made random noises up at me and I gaze at her. This child was alone. She needed a family to care for her. But everyone in the city has or doesn't want children. She looks up at my shades and makes a grabbing motion.

"I guess I will care for you then.", I say picking her up and placing her onto my hair, I used to do it all the time with Steven when he was a baby.

The baby giggled and I smiled.  I use my future vision and see that she won't fall off so I know it's ok to walk with her up there. I make my gauntlets disappear and start to walk towards the WarpPad.

"If I'm going to take care of you your going to need a name.", I say looking up at her she smiles down at me.

"How about (y/n)?", I say and she claps her little hands and giggles.

"Ok then.", I say smiling.
