Darkness that masks all

In a world of brightness there are demons.

One you have to fight.
They're merciless.
And bloody.
They kill you,
until you're tired to try and relive.

The wonder and beauty has more dirty and ugly in it,
we're just blind.
Engrossed in the beauty of it all.
the darkness that only some can see.

We raise our weapons,
knowing that we're going to lose.
It's obvious,
there's no chance of winning.

People only notice the sunny day,
they raise their heads up to see the sun,
the reach up to touch it,
but not the clouds.

The darkness devouring us,
eating us whole,
it kills us,
and we fall into it's tunnel of despair.

All trough the process,
nobody helps us.
They watch us,
and laugh at us.

So we pick our selves up,
casting the broken limbs,
and mend the bones that has been broken,
until we're fixed again.

But for some,
the broken warrior just lay there,
waiting for time,
waiting for death.

So I picked myself up,
piecing my body one by one,
I know I can't fix myself right,
but I try.

Raising my axe,
in my broken, rusted armor.
I ran, holding my axe,
and never giving up.

I charged,
and fell.
piece by piece falling apart,
I'm broken again.

So I lay there,
waiting for death,
or rescue.
Blood spilling out quick.

I was about to close my eyes
when you came and fixed me up,
bandaging all my wounds,
so I held on to you.

Thinking that you're my safe place,
blind that you might leave me,
or hurt me like they did,
and pierce my heart troughs

And as I battle the demon,
you did.
You told me you'd help me finish it,
but you did not.

You stabbed your sword trough my back.
Oh the irony of it all.
Who knew that you could be killed by the person who saved you?
nobody.

So maybe they're right, there's no hope at all.
I should've listened.
Because anyone, can betray anyone
