Still falling for you

Jungkook was standing by the kitchen counter, he was waiting for his father to finish getting ready so he can drop him off at the restaurant.

The week after he was discharged he was put on bed rest so that his ankle could heal properly. He was pleased that time seemed to race by pretty fast.

During the first few days after he was discharged, he found himself religiously checking his phone in hopes that Taehyung texted him or called him, but he had not. 

Last night mustered up all the courage he had and texted him first and invited him to lunch, Taehyung agreed.

His parents had asked him again if he planned on telling Taehyung about Haneul now that he was back, but Jungkook was still unsure if he should, but he figured if he got to learn a bit more about Taehyung's life, he might be able to know what decision to make.

It was finally the day they were to meet, Jungkook was suddenly feeling nervous, but kept assuring himself that there was nothing to be worried about.

"Do you want me to come and pick you up afterwards?"Joon asked, "no, that's fine, I will get a cab" Jungkook replied as he picked up his bag and followed his dad.

On the way they chatted a bit, and for the hundredth time, Joon asked again if Jungkook's foot was really okay and Jungkook had to assure him all over again that he was really fine. "Be careful while walking around okay" he added, "yes sir" Jungkook teased.

They finally made it to the restaurant, Joon said his goodbyes and Jungkook headed inside. He arrived ten minutes earlier than the time they agreed on, he felt it was better to be early than late, and he would feel terrible if he made Taehyung wait.

It was a high end restaurant that he picked, he wasn't sure what Taehyung preferred now, but he hoped he might be able to find something to his liking.

He placed the canvas he brought on the side of the table and waited. Not long after that, he noticed Taehyung walking into the restaurant, "he's early" Jungkook thought to himself.

As Taehyung walked towards their table, Jungkook also stood up to greet him, "hi" he greeted, "Hi" Taehyung replied. They stood awkwardly for a moment. 

"O, please have a seat" Jungkook said while also taking a seat. "I hope I didn't ruin any plans you had today" Jungkook said with a small nervous laugh, "not at all" Taehyung replied, "have you ordered anything?" he asked. "No, not yet, I was waiting for you, they have so much to chose from, I hope it's to your liking" said Jungkook. Taehyung nodded as he looked through the menu.

"And thank you, for the get well soon package" Jungkook said with a smile. The day after he was discharged, a huge  package written KIM GLOBAL was delivered to his parents address. It was packed with everything from herbal tonics to spa vouchers, Jungkook was pleasantly surprised byt the gift, the company didn't have to send him any thing but he appreciated it none the less.

"You are welcome, although I would say Jimin deserves all the praise, he knew exactly what to get" Taehyung replied. "Please thank him for me" said Jungkook.

A waitress came and took their order.

"How is your daughter?" Taehyung asked, "o, she's fine, she actually helped me with-" Jungkook was about to pick the canvas, when Taehyung's phone rang, "excuse me" he said getting up from his seat , "sure go ahead" Jungkook said putting down the canvas.

Taehyung returned after a few minutes, "I am so sorry, but I have to go somewhere right now now" he said, Jungkook managed to hide his disappointment. "There's something I had to do and I-" Taehyung tried to explain, "it's okay, you can go, it really fine" Jungkook said with a small smile. Taehyung was hesitant for a moment. "don't worry about it, we can reschedule for another time" Jungkook said. "Okay, I will- I will talk to you later" Taehyung said before heading for the door.

The moment he was out of sight, the waitress brought their drinks, Taehyung told the waitress he wasn't going to order any food.

Taehyung parked his car and made his way to the arrivals area, he spotted her from a distance, the big jacket was drawing more attention than she realised, people were staring and whispering.

"Behind you" he texted. The girl in the distance looked around until she spotted him, she waved and started walking towards him.

Taehyung embraced her in a hug and handed her the flowers that he had with him, "awww, I love them" she said as she smelled the flowers, "I am glad you do" Taehyung replied. "Lets go, I am parked outside" Taehyung said taking her bag.

"Where is your security?" Taehyung asked once they were in the car "why, are you worried I will get kidnapped?" she poked Taehyung's arm as she asked, "you are very easy to kidnap" Taehyung teased, this made her laugh.

"They were there, just a little distance away"
"Okay, at least your disguise worked"

"I missed you" 
"I missed you too" Taehyung replied with a smile.

"You can sleep, I will wake you up when we arrive" Taehyung said after noticing she was yawning, "okay" she mumbled as she closed her eyes.

Taehyung' s parents were arriving later that week , along with his uncle and aunt, his birthday was soon approaching.

His while family loved Ji-eun, she's the daughter of  a family friend and when Taehyung mentioned he had met her for coffee after not seeing each other in so long, they were thrilled. His mother and aunt in particular kept asking if he was interested in her.

He was, he enjoyed talking to her,and after about two months of casual conversations, she had asked him out on a date. He agreed.

Being an artist meant she travelled often, Taehyung often used that as the reason they have never gone on date since then, it had been three months. He would attend her concerts, and see her back stage after she was done performing, he would invite her to events that his company was hosting and would offer to drive her home afterwards, but he had still not asked her out on a date.

They finally reached their destination, he was about to wake her, when she turned in her seat and woke up, "we are here already?" she asked while rubbing her eyes, "yes" Taehyung replied looking at her.

He got her bag out of the trunk and they took the elevator up to her floor, it was one of the tallest buildings in the city and her apartment was on one of the top floors.

"You have changed" she commented
"How so?" Taehyung asked
"I don't know exactly but something is different"
"Maybe it's you that has has changed" Taehyung said teasingly while raising an eye brow. "You are such a goof" she said lightly hitting his chest and they both laughed.

Once they reached her apartment, Taehyung took her bag inside, she excused herself to go to the bathroom.

He looked around the room, it was so much like her he thought. A few minutes later she returned.

"Can I get you something to drink?" she asked, "no, that's okay, I am going to let you get some sleep" Taehyung said, "but you can stay for a bit" she offered, "no, it's okay" he replied, "okay, I will at least walk you out" she said

Standing in the doorway, Taehyung was towering over her, "I will come and take you to dinner later" he said, Ji-eun could feel her cheeks heating up "okay" she replied with a smile.
"Unless you have something else planned-" Taehyung asked
"no, not at all" she said.
"Okay good".

Taehyung leaned towards her and kissed the side of her face, "go get some rest okay, I will see you later" he said.

Ji-eun found herself unable to move for a moment "okay, see you later" she managed to say, she waited until Taehyung was in the elevator and the door started to close before she closed her door, her heart was beating so loud she could almost hear it.
