After years of us breaking glass vases in the main living room, mom finally converted the second living room — the one we rarely used — into a playroom. Things were going fine... until the day disaster struck.

We were chilling in the room. Blue was filming TikToks, Khalil and I were flying a drone, and Sir and Gigi were playing with their cars.

G: do you wanna play bumper cars?

S: YES

They set their cars in front of each other crashing into each other repeatedly until they crashed too hard and Sir backed into the wall, leaving a huge dent.

Gigi gasped as she climbed out of her car.

Gigi: oh my God... I can't believe YOU just put a dent in the wall

S: wha-

K: yea YOU

S: huh?

Bl: bye!

All four of us bolted upstairs. Its every man for themselves! We all know the rule if something happens RUN! Because whoever's caught at the scene gets whooped! Thats just growing up with siblings 101.

S: NOO PLEASE!

Blue, Khalil, and I ran into our rooms and pretended to be busy.

Blue hopped on her iPad. Khalil turned on his game. And I turned on some random movie fast forwarding to twenty minutes. I need an alibi!!

Meanwhile Sir was outside our doors pleading and I guess gigi decided not to abandon her twin.

S: KALANI! BLUE! KHALIL! HELP ME PLEASE I DON'T WANNA GET IN TROUBLE!

K: GO AWAY!

S: YOU GUYS! MOM'S GONNA BE HOME SOON!

Bl: I don't know what you're talking about!!!

S: PLEASE I WANNA LIVE TO SEE NINE!

I groaned getting up to unlock my door then muttered:

K: fine... come on guys.

We all slinked back downstairs. Working fast, we cleaned up the toys, hid the cars, slid a shelf over the dent, and dragged a plant from the dining room to cover the rest. Mission accomplished then straight back to our rooms.

Beyonce pov ~ later on

I walked in the house secretly carrying a Chick-fil-A milkshake behind my back. I went to grab some food before I came home, and no I did not offer my kids any. Does that makes me a bad mom? Probably but do I care? Nope!

Once I threw it in the trash I noticed how unusually quiet the house is. I squinted my eyes.

B: hm...something done happened didnt it

I walked around looking for anything out the ordinary and saw the plant from the dining room in the playroom. Curious, I moved it... and seen a dent!

B: oh... my- everyone! COME HERE!

All the kids, wherever they are, freeze. Their eyes widen.

Kalani on tiktok live gasps trying not to make any sudden movements.

K: she knows!

She whispered.

B: NOW!

All the kids scramble down, standing by the stairs, as I glare.

B: who did this?

They stayed silent. I spotted Onika getting water in the kitchen and called her over too.

B: Onika! Come here!

She cursed under her breath.

O: yes?

B: did you see this-

O: no!

She clears her throat.

O: no

B: so nobody knows what happened?

They still didn't speak.

B: okay, good. Lucky for you, we installed cameras. Let's see what went down.

Their eyes widened before looking at each other.

I connected the baby cam to the TV.

Clips play:

Blue doing a flip, nudging the wall slightly, moving the shelf.

Gigi swinging a golf club, denting the wall, grabbing the equipment, and running off.

Sir backing into the wall — the big dent — then Khalil covering it with the plant.

The video ends and I glare at them. They avoid eye contact. I blow my breath.

Bey: you know what? Everyone is grounded... especially YOU!

I looked at Onika.

O: wha-

B: I dont wanna hear it!

They all shuffle away.

An Hour Later

I sat at the counter drinking tea, then Kalani and Khalil came downstairs.

B: what do you two want?

K: you still mad?

I roll my eyes being dramatic.

B: no, just disappointed that I live in a house full of liars

They both apologized. I sighed.

B: it's fine. I'll just get the wall fixed.

K: well since you took our phones, iPads, TV... and joy, we decided, why not apply to college? and look

They showed me their computer screens and I saw the big check mark and the confetti. I gasped eyes tearing already.

B: ohh... my babies

I pulled them both in for a hug kissing their heads.

B: You two are getting too big

Khalil chuckled.

Kh: thats what she said!

B: I-

I pushed him away and pulled kalani on my lap.

B: you get away!

He laughed.
