"Do you think we're gonna get married?"
"Yes."
"Aren't you scared?"
"Of marriage? No," she paused, "but I will if you're not doing it with me."

Mikha's POV
I came home late. It's been a recurring scenario of me coming home late.
I wasn't expecting anyone who'll wait for me.
I wasn't expecting for her to wait for me.
Not anymore.
When I entered the house, I saw the light in the kitchen still on. I walked towards there only to find my wife holding a glass of water while leaning against the counter.
Her eyes flicked on me. Our gaze locked momentarily. Like we're waiting for a pin to drop on the floor and make the loudest silent sound.
"Can't sleep?" I asked.
She puts down the glass on to the sink. "Just thirsty."
I nodded my head in response. I wanted to asked her about her day. I wanted to know what she's thinking or what she's feeling right now, but something inside me stopping me to do so.
I'm afraid if I reach out, Aiah will keep walking backwards from me. That's why I decided to just keep quiet.
"Akyat na ako." Sabi ko. Hindi ko na siya hinintay sumagot at dumeretso na paakyat sa kuwarto ko. Magkahiwalay na kami ng kuwarto. Hindi ko alam kung kailan pero bigla na lang naging pang araw-araw na tagpo namin na matulog na magkahiwalay.
"Gising na po, hon." Rinig kong bulong ni Aiah. I buried my head in her neck and hugged her tightly.
"I don't want to wake up yet." I groaned sweetly. "Can I stay like this for a while? Please?"
"You can't. May meeting ka today, remember?" Her gentle voice made me not want to wake up at all. If I could only stop the time and be stuck in her arms, I would gladly to be imprisonment by it.
"Tayo na, Mikha Lim." I slowly pull my head from her with a pouty lips.
"Fine." May pabirong pagtatampo kong sabi. Bigla naman niya akong pinaulanan ng halik sa mukha na naging dahilan ng pagngiti at pagtawa ko.
"Why are you so cute?" She asked while giggling.
I pecked her on her lips then said, "Because you love me and I love you."
---------
"Hindi ka ba muna kakain?" Tanong ko kay Aiah. She picked up her purse on the coffee table before looking at me.
I just finished making breakfast. It's not like I'm waiting for her to eat with me. It's like a muscle memory to make breakfast for two because I used to do it.
And she always loves it.
"I have a patient to attend to. You can eat without me." After she said that, she left without saying a proper goodbye.
I sighed and turned to see the food that I made. There's a possibility na walang kakain kung may matitira man ako dito kaya tinapon ko lang ito at naghanda para pumasok sa trabaho.

Aiah's POV
It's just an excuse. I'm not really thirsty. I waited for her to come home even though it was late.
