I met a stranger at the train station...
I'm sitting on the bench inside the train station as I watch the people walking, conversing with their group or with their friends.
It always amaze me to think that each and every individual I'm seeing right now has their own story to tell. Someone or some place they want to visit, and knowing that we are distinct from each other.
"Isn't amazing?" I looked at her and she's smiling from ear to ear. It's not weird, it's comforting.
"You can tell that each person in this place has their own story to tell."
"I'm thinking the exact same thing! It always blows my mind na lahat tayo ay bida ng sarili nating kuwento pero side character lang sa kuwento ng ibang tao. How cool is that?" I chirped.
"Do you have a story to tell?" Tanong niya sakin.
"My life is pretty boring. Walang masyadong exciting moment." I shyly stated.
"C'mon! Walang boring na buhay. Just like what you said, we're the main character of our own story." I really like her enthusiasm.
Huminga muna ako ng malalim bago ako nagsimulang magkuwento.
"I'm a doctor. A pediatric surgeon to be specific. I'm on vacation right now. I don't have a list or a destination to go to, it'll be a spontaneous vacation for me. I was once had a car accident which is yung reason bakit kailangan kong magbakasyon. Everyone insisted na I should enjoy and take a rest for a while."
She's looking at me the whole time. She watched me as if I'm a blockbuster movie being shown in cinema.
"Are you in a relationship?"
"No. I don't. Maybe that's the downside part of being a doctor, you don't get to commit fully to have a relationship. Lalo na ako, I can't manage my life efficiently kaya I'm afraid to take care of another."
"But you're a doctor. You should know better how to take care of someone." Pabiro niyang sabi.
"Ironic, right? Ako din, nag-iisip eh." Natawa kaming dalawa dahil sa sinabi ko. Nakita kong parating na yung tren na dapat kong sakyan kaya nagpaalam na ako sa kaniya.
"I had fun talking to you. I hope we cross paths once more." I bid my farewell. She smiled at me and wave her hand goodbye.

Other person's POV
I met my wife at the train station...
Flashback
"Mikha! You can't go in there!" Pagpigil sakin ng mama ni Aiah. My wife is in the emergency room.
I felt someone grab my shoulder and forcefully turn me around.
Aiah wanted to buy stuff for our house. She wants to cook dinner but unfortunately, wala yung mga ingredients na need niya for the dish she wants to make.
I told her na wag na tumuloy at hintayin na lang ako makauwi from work dahil malakas ang ulan. She told me na sa may malapit na grocery store lang siya pupunta. Despite of me telling her na wag umalis, she insisted.
