Being an academic achiever is hard. Lalo na at maraming expectations sa'yo ang pamilya mo.
Some people says that I'm too hard on myself because kahit simpleng pakikipagkaibigan, hindi ko magawa.
I learnt to just stick with myself because all the people I let in, only took advantage of me. They only befriend me because I'm smart.
Nandito ako ngayon sa library, doing my homework. Bukas pa talaga ito pero gusto ko na itong tapusin agad.
I'm on my earphones, listening to some classical music to help me with my studies.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw a girl sitting next to me looking at me with a full smile. Never knew this girl, never had interaction with her.
Her hair is black with a shade of dark purple. Fair skin, beautiful smile.
"Hi, Aiah!" She chirped making me confused why she knows my name. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
My eyes went wide dahil sa sinabi niya. I don't know her pero super casual lang nang pagkasabi niya.
"You're my girlfriend now." Malakas niyang sabi na naging dahilan ng pagtingin sa'min ng mga estudyante.
I panicked. Hindi ko alam kung saan ako titingin at kung paano ko siya pipigiligan magsabi ng paulit-ulit na girlfriend niya ako.
"Sandali! Sino ka ba?" May pagtitimpi kong tanong.
"I'm Mikha, and you're my girlfriend!" She said out loud. Due to embarrassment, mabilis kong kinuha ang mga gamit ko sabay alis sa library.
Dumeretso ako sa locker ko and pinasok sa loob ang mga libro then proceed sa classroom.
I'm thankful that the crazy lady didn't follow me. Not for long, our teacher arrived and so she started to discuss the lesson.
After an hour, natapos din ang klase kaya oras na para umuwi. I'm fixing my things when one of my classmate called my attention.
"Aiah, may naghahanap sa'yo." I creased my forehead in question dahil wala naman akong ineexpect na maghahanap sa akin.
Lumabas ako ng classroom and my eyes went wide when I saw the crazy girl waiting outside. Tinakpan ko ng libro ang mukha ko at mabilis na umalis.
Hindi pa ako nakakalayo ay narinig kong tinawag niya ako. "Aiah!" Tumigil ako sa paglalakad at tumingin sa kaniya na ngayon ay tumatakbo na papunta sa'kin.
"Hatid na kita." She said then grabbed my book and bag. I'm still baffled kaya nakuha niya sa'kin ang mga gamit ko ng walang kahirap-hirap.
I felt her hand grabbed mine and pull me out of the school. I absentmindedly walked with her because of the what is happening.
When we're both out of school, binawi ko kaagad ang kamay ko at huminto sa paglalakad. Tumigil din siya at tumingin sa akin.
"What's wrong with you? Hindi naman kita kilala pero kung makaasta ka parang matagal na tayong magkakilala." Mataray kong sabi.
"Look, you don't have to fight with me or reject me. I'm a good person kaya no, I can take care of you." Full of confidence niyang sabi.
Naglakad siya papalapit sa akin which made me taken aback but I remained on my spot. "Let me be your friend and girlfriend because I know for sure wala kang time for that, especially because you don't trust people easily."
She looked into my eyes intensely kaya hindi mapigilan ng puso ko ang pagbilis ng tibok nito.
