Summary: Taylor has really bad seasonal allergies, and Travis does what he can to take care of her and make sure she's okay, despite her argument that she was fine because it was just allergies and she "isn't actually sick."

The second that Taylor woke up, the feeling in her body told her all that she needed to know, fucking allergies.

She glanced over at Travis, who was still sleeping peacefully with his arm draped over Taylor's waist.

Lucky, Taylor thought to herself. I wish I could still be sleeping peacefully like that.

As carefully as she could, so she wouldn't wake Travis, Taylor climbed out of the bed and headed towards the bathroom.

The second that Taylor caught sight of herself in the mirror, she let out an audible sigh. It was very obvious that something wasn't right due to her red and puffy eyes and sniffly nose. Taylor was hoping that she could just go through the day normally, but if Travis saw that she had such bad allergies, he would be way too protective and concerned.

It was pretty cute and sweet when Travis was being his protective and overly concerned self, but Taylor knew that Travis would be acting like she was really sick and needed to stay in bed all day and let him cater to her, which was definitely not necessary.

She stared at her reflection for a few more seconds before reluctantly tearing her eyes away and continuing to do her business.

By the time she walked back out of the bathroom and started to climb back into bed is when she finally got a glance at the clock, it was only 3:48 in the morning??

The slight creak of the bed frame, as well as this feeling of the bed slightly moving as Taylor tried to get situated in the spot she was in before, was what woke him up.

Travis let out a quiet groan as he began to shift in the bed, and his eyes slowly fluttered open a few seconds later. "Hmm, Tay?" He mumbled, clearly not fully conscious quite yet.

"Yep, it's just me, Trav. Go back to bed, baby," Taylor replied, sinking into the mattress and sliding back into Travis's side.

"What time is it?" He croaked out.

"A little before 4 am," Taylor replied. "I just had to go to the bathroom."

Taylor's rough, scratchy voice is what made Travis raise an eyebrow and begin to wake up even more. "Is everything okay, baby. Your voice sounds rough." Travis rubbed at his eyes with the balls of his fists to try to wake them up more.

When he opened his eyes again, he could finally see Taylor's face more clearly.

"Hey, hey, is everything okay? Have you been crying?" Travis perked up so quickly that it felt like he wasn't on the verge of consciousness just a few seconds ago.

Taylor furrowed her eyebrows, wondering where the crying accusations came from until she realized the red and puffy eyes may make people think that she was just bawling her eyes out.

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine. Just allergies," Taylor shrugged it off, sniffling.

"It looks bad," Travis replied, his protective and concerned side coming out easily. "Do you feel sick? Does your heat hurt? Are you nauseous?"

"Trav, Trav," Taylor cut him off softly. "Relax, baby. I'm fine. It's just allergies. Now, it's still incredibly early, and I'm tired, so let's go back to bed."
