She really wasn't expecting this kind of reaction. I mean, Taylor knows that there's obviously gonna be some hate that comes with the release of a new album. She's been experiencing this since the release of 1989, when she went full pop. The album would come out, certain people would act like it was a disgrace to music, and then within months, there would be a full 180, and people would suddenly act like the album is completely different now and is now a masterpiece.

But now it's just different. The things people are saying, the disrespectful and gross accusations, all of it. They went from being annoyed and bored because of "the same sad, lonely songs," to being annoyed, furious, and acting like Taylor's an insult to feminism because she wants to get married and have kids with the love of her life.

Usually, Taylor doesn't let this affect her; people just love to complain, but something about it all just upsets her. The fact that people are so upset that she's... happy. That's what's upsetting most of all.

To no one's surprise, Travis is, of course, acting like this is the greatest album ever made, but he also does that with all of her albums.

"I'm so proud of you, baby," he whispered just hours earlier, his face pressed towards hers, their noses barely touching. "You amaze me every day. Your songwriting, your voice, your mind. Everything about you is amazing."

Taylor felt a shy blush appear across her cheeks. "Trav. You already have me. The ring is on my finger. You don't have to keep talking like that."

The smirk on her face helped him understand that she was joking, but even the mere thought of anyone praising her just to make her stay and happy with no truth behind it definitely got to him.

"I would never. In fact, I could just shout it from the rooftops how incredibly talented and amazing my fiancée is." Travis replied.

Taylor's smile grew softer and she shortened the couple inches of space between them so she could connect their lips in a soft, loving kiss.

Now, hours later, Taylor sat up in bed, scrolling through her phone and reading all opinions about the album despite everything in her telling her to just put the phone down.

Travis laid next to her on his stomach, on arm tucked next to his side and the other draped over her waist.

Taylor scrolled and scrolled, her eyes continuously scanning over some of the most inhumane things said about her. About how she was racist for talking about dark night and apparently a Nazi for selling... lightening bolts?

The more she read on, the angrier and more upset she got. But it was like a car crash, she couldn't look away.

"You dug me out of my grave and... saved my heart from the fate of Opheliaaaaa." Travis sans softly from beside her, his voice thick with sleep.

Taylor glanced over at him, her eyes subconsciously softening at the look of her big, teddy bear of a fiancé singing her song to her.

"You're such a dork," she giggled.

"Yes, but I'm your dork." He replied. "Now what's with the long face? I woke up, and you looked sad."

"I'm not," Taylor lied. "I guess that's just my resting face."
