The calm before the storm has become frustrating now.

I flop down besides Sokka, who hands me a towel with a soft smile. Patting away the sweat dripping from my face, I turn back to watch Zuko and Aang continue training without me. Zuko steps back, studying Aang's form, arms crossed over his chest. "More ferocious! Imagine striking through your opponent's heart!"

Aang drops his hands, turning to Zuko with a groan, "I'm trying."

"Now let me hear you roar like a tigerdillo!" Aang gives a noncommittal roar as fire bursts come out of his fists and mouth, when the fire evaporates into the air the boy smiles shyly, glancing at Zuko. "That sounded pathetic! I said roar!" Aang takes a deep breath, this time his roar is far more powerful, larger, hotter bursts of flames blast from his fist and mouth. Momo squeals, running to hide behind Zuko, who simply nods approvingly.

Behind them, Katara steps outside, holding two juicy watermelons, "Who wants a nice cool glass of watermelon juice?"

Aang brightens, "Ooh, ooh! Me, me, me!" He makes to run to Katara.

Zuko's hand snaps out, grabbing Aang by the back of his robes, "Hey! Your lesson's not over yet! Get back here!"

From beside Toph, Suki shrugs, "Come on, Zuko. Just take a break. What's the big deal?"

"Fine!" Zuko let's Aang go with clear frustration, the boy simply happy to be free runs off and takes a watermelon from Katara. "If you want to lounge around like a bunch of snail sloths all day, then go ahead!" He turns on his heal and storms away.

Sokka sighs, "Maybe Zuko's right. Sitting around the house has made us pretty lazy. But I know just the thing to change that," he sets down his watermelon shifting off his robe, revealing a pair of swim shorts, "Beach party!"

Sokka grins goofily when he surfaces from his dive into the sea, seaweed on his head and water dripping from his hair onto his shoulders. As I settle on the sand beside Suki, who lays out to tan, Katara waterbends a surfboard beneath her feet, catching a wave as she launches onto the water.

Suki and I begin to catch up on what we've missed of each other since the last time we had ran into each other. On how the other Kyoshi warriors are, on how some of the girls finally left Kyoshi Island, on who decided to stay behind, on her time at Full Moon Bay guarding the ferries to Ba Sing Se. Eventually, she tells me about finding Appa, about fighting to earn his trust with the goal of returning him to Aang, only to be found by Azula and ultimately imprisoned.

However, Suki's face scrunching in confusion draws my focus away. My eyes follow her line of sight to see Sokka running back in forth from the sand to the water line, grabbing material for what seems to be a sand building competition. Nearby, Aang pokes to sticks into the head of Sand Appa for his horns, "Check out my Appa sand Sculpture."
