"I think I see a cave below," Aang says as he stands in the middle of Appa's saddle, bending the air around us to create cover.
"Sh! Keep quiet!" Sokka says back from commanding the reigns. As we land Aang blows away the cloud and Sokka is quick to jump down and scan the area. "Great job with the cloud camo, but next time, let's disguise ourselves as the kind of cloud that knows how to keep its mouth shut."
Toph crosses her arms as we watch Sokka hide behind a rock, "Yeah, we wouldn't want a bird to hear us chatting up there and turn us in."
"Hey, we're in enemy territory," he points to the birds perched on the rock he hides behind, "Those are enemy birds."
One of the birds jumps down onto Sokka's head and screeches, the four of us laugh before the others turn away to settle into our new temporary home. Still laughing, I reach out to pull Sokka to his feet and quickly flatten his hair where the birds claws had messed it up, relishing in the way his cheeks warm before leading him into the cave with the others.
"Well this is it. This is how we'll be living till the invasion begins. Hiding in cave after cave after cave..." Sokka's enthusiastic tone dies down as he goes on.
Katara approaches Sokka from behind, "Sokka we don't need to become cave people. What we need is some new clothes.
Aang nods along, "Yeah, blending in is better than hiding out. If we get fire nation disguises, we would be just as safe as we would be hiding in a cave."
"Plus, they have real food out there. Does anyone want to sit in the dirt and eat cave hoppers?" Toph punches the cave wall, causing cave hoppers to jump out. Unsurprisingly, the only one excited by that is Momo, who pounces on the first one he can reach.
Sokka turns to me with raised brows, waiting for me to weigh in, I shrug, "It wouldn't hurt."
The boy sighs, looking down to Momo enjoying his dinner of cave hoppers, "Looks like we got outvoted, sport. Let's get some new clothes."
The first place we find is a what I can only assume is washhouse based off of the lines upon lines of clothes hung up to dry. The only person about is an older man napping in front of the washhouse.
Aang leans in close to whisper, "I don't know about this. These clothes belong to somebody."
"I call the silk robe!" Katara doesn't hesitate to jump up, grabbing a few items from the line before ducking back behind cover.
Aang shrugs, "But if its essential to our survival... then I call the suit!" He then jumps the wall, dashing for a suit just about his size.
I find my own two piece as the rest grab something for themselves and as the do I slip behind a bush to put on my casual short shirt wrapping round my neck but not reaching below my stomach and the darker red trousers hanging loose and low enough to just touch the floor.
