"I missed you more than you'll ever know, buddy." Aang has his arms wrapped around as much of Appa as he can reach, his voice muffled by the bison's hair. It's difficult not to smile at the reunion of the two.

Sokka approaches the rest of us as Aang and Momo continue to shower Appa with affection. "Look, we escaped from the Dai Li. We got Appa back. I'm telling you, we should go to the Earth King now and tell him our plan. We're on a roll."

Katara shakes her head, "One good hour after weeks of trouble isn't much of a roll."

"We can build on it. If we want to invade the Fire Nation when the eclipse happens, we'll need the Earth King's support."

"What makes you think we'll get it? I don't know if you've noticed, but things don't always run smoothly for our little gang."

I nod along with Toph, "And what makes you think the Dai Li will back off when we got back?"

"I know, but I've got a good feeling about this. This time will be different."

Katara gestures to me, "Sokka, Tenshi's right, Long Feng is in control of the city. His conspiracy with the Dai Li is too powerful. I think we should keep flying and leave this horrible place behind us."

"I'm with Sweetness and Silence. I've seen enough of Ba Sing Se." She raises her arms in the air in aggravation and her voice rises, "And I can't even see!"

Aang joins us, having heard most of the conversation behind him, "But now that we have Appa back, there's nothing stopping us from telling the Earth King the truth. About the conspiracy and the war."

"See? Aang's with me." He puts his arm around Aang with a wide smile, "It's the whole reason we came here in the first place. We have to try."

Katara hesitates, "Well, I guess if the Earth King knew the truth, things could change."

"I don't trust the new positive Sokka." Toph points accusatorily at the boy, "Long Feng brainwashed you, didn't he!?"

Sokka bats his pointing finger away, gesturing to the boats on the lake, "That's probably the Dai Li searching for us." He turns back to us, "So?"

I sigh, "If you think it's a good idea, then fine."

Sokka smiles and turns to his sister. She thinks for a moment before looking back at her brother, "Let's fly!"
