Sokka, understandably desperate to get close to his father, parts ways with the rest of us quickly after establishing Hakoda is in the Boiling Rock. The boy heads to the line up of new prisoners whilst I escort Zuko and Suki back to their cells. Zuko leans closer to the group, voice low, "I'm sorry we weren't able to find your brothers too, Tenshi..."
Suki glances at me sideways, "You were looking for your brothers too?"
I shrug casually, looking away from both of them, trying not to think too deeply about where my brothers might be, "I thought there might be a chance they were here too, but..." I shrug to myself again, "Maybe it's for the best they aren't here, this is supposed to be the worst of the worst right...?"
"...Yeah, I guess so..." Suki looks at me sadly and the thought that sticks with me goes unspoken, even if the Boiling Rock is the worst of the worst, the other prisons certainly aren't much better.
Eventually, we reach their wing undetected, under the guise of me simply transporting prisoners to new cells. I sigh to the both of them, "We'll figure something else out, Hakoda and Sokka together are bound to come up with something." The others nod, and we separate.
When I find Sokka again, he's practically glowing. I smirk at the sight of him, "How is he?"
Sokka nods, "As good as it gets here, I guess. We came up with a new plan."
I chuckle quietly, "Already? I told the others we had nothing to worry about with you two on the case."
Sokka smiles a bit, seemingly enjoying my praise, "I'm gonna pass it on to Zuko, you got Suki?" I nod my head and Sokka quickly relays the base of the plan, then we separate.
Casually, I stand by Suki's cell door, as if simply surveying the wing I glance around the hall. Quietly I murmur, "Suki?"
I can hear shuffling behind me and then from over my shoulder I hear her voice, quietly, "Yeah?"
"Sokka has another plan, starting with a distraction in the yard. The prisoners should be let out of their cells in about half an hour, be in the yard for an hour from now."
"Okay."
I smirk to myself, the plan, as I say it out loud, feels a bit ridiculous, my voice gets even lower, "We're gonna take the warden captive... escape on the gondola."
"...How are we even supposed to get close to him with all his guards?"
I chuckle quietly, "That's what the distraction in the yard is for." I glance around, the coast is clear, I step closer to the door, looking through the slit Suki's green eyes look back at me, "Be careful, I'll see you soon." Then I step away, intending to look busy and hopefully find Sokka while I do it.
