It is a tense morning between the group, Sokka sits over his maps intensely, he seems troubled. Katara interrupts his thoughts with a warm cup of tea, she doesn't look at me sat beside her brother.
"Top of the morning, Momo!" Due to his long and deep sleep, Aang still seems cheerful despite the tension.
Katara smiles at him, "You look like you slept well."
"Like a baby moose lion. I'm ready to face the Fire Lord."
"So, what's your strategy for taking him down?" Toph smiles, wiggling her fingers around her eyes, mimicking the Avatar state, "Hit him with a little Avatar State action?"
Aang looks down, eyebrows pinched together, "I can't. When Azula shot me with lightning my seventh chakra was locked, cutting off my connection to all the cosmic energy in the universe."
"You know what I just heard?" Toph holds up her hand, opening and closing it like a jabbering mouth, "Blah, blah, spiritual mumbo jumbo blah, blah, something about space."
"We'll figure something else out, Aang." I smile at the boy and he offers a concerned smile back, though he doesn't say anything in response, instead glancing to Katara.
The girl herself notices a thick wave of fog drawing in, "Oh, no. Sokka, do you think the fog will delay the invasion?"
His face lights up, "No. That is the invasion!" Sokka stands to his feet watching over the cliff side as the fog draws nearer.
We make our way down from our now packed camp to the beach where the boats are docking. The water tribe siblings speed away ahead of us until they spot Hakoda jumping from the boat.
"You made it Dad!" Katara embraces her father.
Sokka smiles up at the man, "Were you able to locate everyone I told you to find?"
"I did. But I'm a little worried, Sokka. Some of these men aren't exactly the 'warrior type'." Hakoda glances over his shoulder as Due and Tho, the swamp benders, struggle to identify a rock. "Is it just me, or are those fellas a little loose in the leaf-hat?"
Bato stops beside Sokka, "I just wish they would wear pants."
Huu scratches his stomach, "Pants are an illusion, and so is death."
Soon we are approached by another man I do not recognise, "Hi, Katara."
"Haru! It's sfo good to see you!" She shoots up to embrace him a wide grin on her face.
