Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

64.

We keep flying for the night and the next day Appa swims in a really, really dirty river. I mean like gross. Sokka is trying to fish and I don't think that he will catch anything but even if he did I think I wouldn't eat it.

When we get around the corner we see a little village. We hide Appa and Momo under grass and walk towards the water. ''I can't feel anything. Where is this village?'' Toph asks confused. ''It's in the middle of the water, that's why you can't feel it'' I explain and she nods.

We see an old man in a boat on the shore and he offers us a ride to the village. When we get on the boat Toph clings to mine and Sokka's arm because the boat is made of wood and she can't see anything. The old man explains that this was a fishing village until the factory was build and the water got too dirty for the fish to survive.

When we get to the village you can see the people sitting around and some are wounded and sick, it's really sad to see and Katara thinks the same. ''We have to help these people'' she says but Sokka doesn't want to hear it. He says these people are on their own and he and Katara get into an argument, something's never change.

When we get back we set up our camp and Sokka begins to nag about the schedule and we have to stand up early because made a detour to this village. I don't even complain to him because I don't want to use my energy on it. I know the rest will say something about it.

The next morning we are packing and getting ready to leave when Katara says Appa is sick. I know he isn't but keep my mouth shut. If Katara wants to help these people so bad I don't mind. We put our things back and head to the village to find some herbs to make medicine for Appa.

Today the people in the village seem so happy and energetic. We ask Shu about it and he explains that the painted lady paid them a visit. It is said that she is a water spirit. Unfortunately there is no medicine for Appa because everything goes to the factory.

Even if you're a Fire Nation citizen you aren't safe and taken care of. Katara says we will have to stay another night so Appa can rest and get better. Her plan is working perfectly for her.

When we get back Katara prepares dinner, if you can even call it that.

When everyone is asleep I hear Katara slip away and I quietly follow her. I'm not planning on telling her I know it or helping her but at least I can make sure she doesn't get into trouble. This night she heals the wounded and the sick. When she is making her way back I quickly return and lay back in my sleeping bag.

The next day the village is even more energetic and putting up a statue of the painted lady. Sokka is being all negative about her, but that's just Sokka. And he comes with an idea for the painted lady, to blow up the factory, because that would really help the people. I watch Katara and I know she will do it. That will be even less sleep tonight.

That night Katara sneaks out again but now Aang has seen her and follows her and I follow them. Finally Aang catches up with Katara and he finds out. ''I can't believe you lied to everyone'' he said. ''I know I shouldn't have'' Katara says with guilt. ''I think it's cool, you're like a secret hero'' Aang says enthusiastically.

''You didn't lie to everyone, I knew from the beginning'' I say as I walk out of my hiding spot. ''Miku! You knew?! Why didn't you say anything?'' Katara asks surprised. ''I knew you wanted to help these people so when you said Appa was sick I knew it was you're doing and I followed you at night so if you would get into trouble I could help you'' I explain and Katara gives me a big hug.

''Thank you for not telling anyone'' she says as she lets me go ''Your welcome''. ''Now you guys know you can help me destroy the factory, Sokka said it as a joke but he was right, it will help the people'' Katara said determined. ''Let's have some fun'' I say with a big smile. I would love to destroy some things.

We sneak inside and cut pipes and all sorts of things. When we are walking back Aang is still telling about the night but when we come around the corner Sokka and Toph are standing there and Sokka doesn't look so happy.

He begins to shout about how she brought the whole mission into danger with doing this and lying about it. Katara walks past him and Sokka asks Aang how long he knew about it, but he just found out.

''And how long did you know?'' he asks me while he crosses his arms. ''Why even ask when you know the answer already. I knew it from the beginning. And don't even start Sokka'' I says when he opens his mouth and walk to my stuff and begin packing.

When we are packing we see boats going from the factory to the village.

Katara is getting ready to go to the village to help them because they will get the blame for the destruction of the factory.

Toph, Sokka and Appa are in charge of making the sounds. While Aang hides under the bridge just below Katara and I stay in the water keeping up the mist.

We manage to scare away the soldiers and I don't think they will ever return.

Everyone is cheering for Katara or the painted lady. Then Doc walks up to Katara and sees it's her and accuses her for tricking them. Sokka stands up for her and they work it out. We spend the whole day cleaning the river. Katara and I take care of the water and Toph and Aang of the earth in the water. Before nightfall the river is clean again.

As everyone is asleep I suddenly wake up and feel some energy close by. So I stand up and walk towards it. there I see thereal painted lady thanking Katara. I smile and go back to sleep.
