I never thought he would really do it. I close my eyes and concentrate then I make the water go up and catch me then I make it go further up and now I tower over the ship with the water holding me.

I see the shocked face of Hakoda and soon other men stand there shocked and I grin they will not mess with me ever again. I land on the ship taking the water with me then I send it to all the men standing on deck and freezing their entire body with only their mouth uncovered so they could breath.

I hear people running and then I see Katara, Sokka and other men. ''What did you do! Are you insane?! Attacking our own men! I knew it, you're on the Fire Nations side!'' Sokka shouted and hurried over to me and now standing right in front of me.

''As you can see I froze them. No I'm not insane. They are not my men. And I'm not on the Fire Nations side'' I answered all his questions. ''Why did you do this?!'' he kept shouting. ''I know you won't believe me but your father kept asking why I went with you guys and I said because I wanted to, that's the truth. But he wasn't happy with the answer and kept asking, what else could I say than the truth but he didn't believe me. A couple of minutes ago he threatened to throw me off the ship and he really did, I never thought he would. So I showed him what I could do, that I can water bend. All these men will now know that they can't mess with me anymore not after all those years'' I explain everything. Sokka looks at me like I have gone crazy and I look away and melt the ice around the men so they can move again.

I know that they heard what I said. ''Is this truth dad?'' Katara asks her father. ''Of course not! Why wouldn't I believe her is she said she went with you because she wanted to. And I would never throw someone off the ship!'' he exclaimed and I sighed.

I know this would happen I would be the liar and the one who attacked out of nowhere and he would be the victim. I wanted to turn away from Sokka look full of hatred when Toph spoke.

''She is telling the truth. I heard them talk and I felt Miku disappear from the ground and I can feel the vibrations of him lying'' she said while pointing to Hakoda. ''Why would I lie about something that didn't happen. And you are not so truths worthy you are blind'' Hakoda tried.

''Actually dad, Toph really can see with her feet and her bending so I believe her'' Katara said and started walking back from Hakoda and to me. When she stands beside me she takes my hand.

''I can't believe you believe her and not dad!'' Sokka yelled and walked over to his dad. ''Then why won't you believe me? I don't have any reason to lie about what he said he is been kind to me'' Toph says to Sokka and I'm really grateful to her for helping me. Sokka looks from Toph to his father to Katara and then to me. ''I don't know! I'm going to sleep!'' Sokka said and stormed off.

 ''Come Miku lets go to our room too'' Katara said and guided me to the stairs. I heard some men whispering about me being able to water bend and that I didn't deserve it. I gritted my teeth and kept walking trying to ignore it.

I know I deserve it just as much as Katara but it hurt when someone said something like that. Apparently Katara heard them to ''Why doesn't she deserve it?! Because her father is from the Fire Nation?! That's the most pathetic excuse I have ever heard!'' and she pushed me upstairs. ''I can't believe they would say something like that!'' she shouts when we are in our room.

''They have always said it. That's why I was afraid to bend back at home'' I explain in a calm way while I walk over to the bed. She gives me a shocked look ''Really? I had no idea'' she whispers.

''Don't blame yourself I didn't want anyone to know what they said'' I comfort her and left out the part: what they did. Because that would really shock her and I didn't want her to think badly of the people she saw as her family. 

''I'm sorry Miku that I never noticed. But from now on I will be there for you when they say mean things'' she said as she walked over to me and gave me a hug. ''Thank you Katara and that means a lot to me'' I said honestly.

''Don't mind me. I'm not the hugger'' Toph said from her bed and Katara quickly runs over to her to give her a hug. ''I said I didn't want one'' she protested.

''This is as a thanks for helping Miku, because if I'm really honest. If you didn't tell us that I think I would have hated you Miku, I'm sorry'' Katara said as she held her head down. ''I can understand that Katara, it's nothing to ashamed about. And thank you Toph for saving me there'' I smile at her even though she can't see it.

''No thanks I wouldn't want team Avatar falling apart, right?'' she joked. ''Team Avatar? Really?'' I laughed and Katara and Toph joined me in my laughing. After a little while just laughing about nothing Toph stated.

''I never heard you laugh''. ''You're right. I have seen you smile but never laugh'' Katara says. ''I never laughed out loud because there was nothing to laugh about'' I say and look down. And feel their eyes on me.
