Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

80.

Toph told us that she went to see Zuko last night and that's how her feet got burned. Sokka thinks it's not safe to let Zuko be on his own so they had to get him here. We sat Toph by the fountain so she can cool her feet.

I look around because I have this uneasy feeling and when I look up I see combustion man ''Look out!'' I yell and point at combustion man. Just as he wants to attack us Zuko comes and pushes him away.

We take cover behind the fountain and I look up to see Zuko fight the man. Then he charged at Zuko and he falls off the building. I gasped for air ''Zuko!'' I yell and run away from the fountain and make my way up to help Zuko.

I look down and see that combustion man is still charging at the others but I don't worry about them right now. I reach to edge were Zuko fell of and I lay down on my stomach to look for him and there he is. Holding on to a vine. ''Hey there. You're good?'' I joke and smile at him. He looks up and smiles back.

''Yeah I'm good just hanging around you know'' he jokes. ''I'm going to get you out of there'' I say and stand back up. I focus on the water in the fountain and slowly it comes to me. I create a tentacle around Zuko and lift him up to where I stand.

When he has his feet back on the ground he pulls me in a tight hug and at first I don't know what to do but then I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him back. Then a temple blows up and falls down. We look down and see Sokka, Katara and Aang stare at us. I had to blush a little bit. 

''Come let's talk to them'' I say and grab his hand. We walk down until we reach the others. They all looked shocked to see Zuko and me holding hands. ''I knew it!'' Sokka yelled and I just stared at him. This wasn't the time to discuss this.

Aang thanks Zuko for helping them with combustion man. And he wants Zuko to be his firebending teacher. Zuko is really happy, but Aang has to ask the others what they think about Zuko joining us. He asks Toph first because she was burned by him and her answer is that if he joins she will have more opportunities to get back at him.

Then it's Sokka turn and he says it's fine as long as it helps to take out the Fire Lord. And then it's Katara's turn she isn't convinced and she looks really angry, but she will accept it as long as Aang thinks that this is the right thing to do.

Zuko grabs my hand again and holds it tight. I know he is very happy with the outcome. Everyone walks away and now it's just Zuko and I. He turns to look at me and he takes my other hand.

''I want to apologize for that time in Ba Sing Se. Everything went so well between us and I was so happy and relaxed with you, but I had to mess it up by turning on you. I'm really sorry Miku, I hope you can forgive me and I hope you don't hate me'' he asks and look down at our hands. 

''First of all if I hated you, I wouldn't have helped you today so you can relax. I will forgive you. At first I was really angry with you, but after I thought about it for some time I realized that when we were together there wasn't really a side. So I went to help my friends and you your sister. It was something we never discussed'' I say and look at him but he is still looking at our hands.

''But I attacked you and I attacked my uncle. I don't get it how you can forgive me that fast'' he said a little angry. ''What happened with your uncle is between the two of you and I can't judge about it, but I do forgive you and you'll have to accept it'' I say and tilt his face up so I can look him in the eyes.

''But I just don't know how you...'' he begins but I shut him up by kissing him. At first he didn't react but then he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me back. I felt someone coming closer so I ended the kiss.

''Someone is coming'' I whispered and he nodded and we created some distance between us. Then Sokka came into view ''I'm going to show him his room'' he said and Zuko walked with him. I walked over to Toph and see how she was doing.

''I'm doing great. And so are you'' she said with a big smile on her face and I knew what she was talking about. ''You're walk is different now you know, it's really scary'' she said and I had to laugh. I walked over to Zuko's room so we could talk, but when I reach the room I see Katara standing there and she is saying that if Zuko slips up and she thinks he will hurt Aang she will make sure that his destiny will end right then and there.

I quickly hide behind a pillar when she wants to turn around. When she walks out of the room she slams the door shut. When I know that she is gone I walk to his room. I open the door and see Zuko standing there with a shocked expression. I close the door and walk over to him and give him a gentle hug to let him know that I'm here for him and I will help him get through this all and make sure that the others will accept him.
