Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

68.

When night falls we all go to sleep but it doesn't last long. Suddenly Toph and I are sitting up ''Someone's coming'' I whisper ''You're not going to believe me but there is a metal man coming our way'' she says and everyone is awake.

And there he stands. The man is huge and has a metal arm and leg and a weird tattoo on his forehead. He takes a deep breath and I jump on my feet and create a thick ice wall between us and the man but it shattered by his attack.

Aang deflects his attack and Toph sends a lot of rocks his way but he destroys it. Now Katara attacks him but he destroys this to. We take cover behind the rock wall but this guy keeps attacking us. 

''How can you defeat someone who blows things up with his mind!'' Sokka shouts. ''Get on Appa! I will distract him'' Aang says and he runs away.

I want to follow him but I know there is no water where he is going so I can't help him that much. ''Come on Miku, I know what you're thinking but we will get him out of there'' Sokka says and I take his outstretched hand to help me up and we climb on Appa.

''I will make sure that he is alright, you guys look for him'' I say and close my eyes to concentrate on Aang and his feelings. I gasped as I feel him fall to the ground but he quickly recovers.

I feel Katara's eyes on me ''He's okay'' I say and keep my eyes close ''Sokka go right!'' I say to Sokka and then we see Aang fly through the sky and he lands on Appa. 

''Well that was random'' Toph says ''I don't think it was random. I have a feeling he knows who we are'' Katara says and looks at me and I nod.

I close my eyes again and try to feel the presence of the man and look if I can find anything about him though his feelings, but I can't find anything and I shake my head. ''No I can't find anything'' I say as I look down from Appa.

This had to be our day off with only relaxing and do nothing. I sigh because I get a feeling we won't have any of those days anytime soon, we will see this man in the near future.

When I almost fall asleep I feel an emotional outburst and I gasped for air. My lungs feel heavy and I sit up holding my head and try to understand what happened. ''Are you alright Miku?'' I hear Toph ask with worry in her voice.

''Yeah I'm alright'' I barely get out. I try and take deep breaths and concentrate on the feeling and then I find the source, Zuko. His emotions feel like a rollercoaster. I try to block him out and focus on the stars above me.

I see Toph still sitting and looking at me. ''I'm alright now Toph, thank you'' I say. ''When we land I want an explanation'' she demands and lays back down again. I sigh and keep looking at the sky as I lay back down on my back.

I wonder why I'm still so connected to him. I thought that after that time in the caves of the Earth kingdom I hated him with my whole being but I guess I don't or else I won't feel his emotions or see his face.

I begin to think about how I will explain this to Toph and for the first time I wish we wouldn't land anytime soon. I tried to go back to sleep because I was really tired, but I had a difficulty falling asleep and I kept looking at the stars hoping I would fall asleep soon so I could stop thinking about Zuko.

I was almost asleep when I woke up by a feeling and it felt like Avatar Roku was near and I heard Aang say ''Okay Roku''. I guess he got a message from Roku.

Again I tried to fall asleep and I did and had avery peaceful sleep. When I woke up the next day I saw that we were inside acloud. ''Oh your finally awake. We are heading to Roku's island'' Sokka explained when he saw that I was awake. ''So my feeling was right then. Luckily I didn't wake for nothing then'' I say and stretch my body.

''What feeling?'' Aang asked curious. ''I got a feeling last night that Roku was near and then I heard you say 'Okay Roku' so I guessed he told you something'' I explain to him. ''He said to meet him on the island so he could tell me how the war started and that if I knew I would know how to stop it'' Aang told me and I nodded.
