Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

97.

We keep following the elders and Bumi telling how he took back his city during the eclipse. I gasp again and hold on to Zuko's shoulder. He looks at me ''Avatar Kuruk'' I say and walk further while Zuko and held hands.

I was getting annoyed by this, when Aang gets back I will have to talk to him to not talk to so many Avatars on a day. But I guess he is asking them for advice on what to do with the Fire Lord. I concentrate on Aangs feelings and he seems even more confused than before. I hope he will figure this all out in time. 

''Welcome to old people camp'' Bumi jokes. ''Where is he?'' Zuko asks scared. And Piandao points to a big tent and Zuko walks over to it. I quickly walk faster and take his hand and squeeze it to let him know that I'm here for him. 

He takes a deep breath and we walk inside. ''Uncle?'' he said softly but them we look up at the snoring sound that's coming from Iroh and I smile and look at Zuko who is smiling he walks forward and sits down and I sit next to him. I gasp again ''Who is it?'' Zuko asks and puts his hand on my cheek.

''Avatar Yangchen, she was an airbender'' I say and work hard to keep my eyes open, I guess that Aang talking to the previous Avatars is draining my energy. ''You look tired. Come lay down'' Zuko says and he tugs at my shoulders and I lay my head in his lap and close my eyes and fall asleep.

Zuko wakes me the next morning and I kiss him on the cheek. We wait in silence for Iroh to wake up. And after an hour or so he does he stretches and he notices were here. I look at Zuko and see tears in his eyes. 

''I know you must have mixed feelings seeing me here. But I'm so sorry for what I've done. And I hope you can forgive me'' Zuko says and the tears leave his eyes and make their way down his cheeks.

Iroh turns around quickly and he takes Zuko by his collar and pulls him in a big hug and now I see Irohs tears. I blink quickly so that they won't she my own. ''How can you forgive me so easily?! I don't get it!'' Zuko says.

''I was never angry. I was sad that you had lost your way'' Iroh says and holds Zuko at a distance so he can look at him. ''I did lose my way'' Zuko says sad and looks down. They hug again and then they let go. 

''Oh Miku. I'm so happy to see you again. Come here'' Iroh says and I quickly make my way to him and hug him. ''Thank you for forgiving him'' I whisper in his ear. ''Thank you too for forgiving him and for looking after him'' Iroh whispers back and lets me go. 

''Zuko can be so happy with a girl like you'' Iroh says and he looks at Zuko. ''I really am'' he says and holds my hand.

After talking with Iroh we go outside and eat breakfast together. Zuko wants Iroh to come and fight the Fire Lord. But Iroh thinks it wouldn't be the right way because people will think he wants to gain more power and the war wouldn't end peacefully.

The Avatar has to defeat the Fire Lord. ''Then will you come back to take your rightful place on the throne?'' Zuko asks. But Iroh thinks someone new must take the throne, Zuko.

We talk about what we all should do in the final fight. Aang must face the Fire Lord, Zuko must face Azula so he can claim his rightful place on the throne and Sokka, Toph and Suki will disable the airships.

But I have no idea what I should do and everyone is looking at me. ''I have no idea what to do. And I have something to tell you the reason I couldn't follow Aang to the island was because Avatar Roku came to me and he had to talk to me'' I begin and look around.

''Go on Miku'' Iroh says and I nod and continue. ''When Aang was stuck in the iceberg the universe, or how you want to call it, wasn't sure if he would survive so they prepared the next Avatar in the cycle and that would've been me'' I say and look up and see everyone shocked faces.

''If the two of you found Aang after my sixteenth birthday I would've been the Avatar and this would be my fight and my decision to make'' I say and look at Iroh. 

''This explains the bond I have with Aang I function as a past live of Aang like the other Avatars and the next Avatar will be born in the Water Tribe the cycle will continue'' I explain and sigh glad to have told them. 

''That's the reason I don't know what to do. Do I have to help Aang face the Fire Lord or help him in another way'' I say and look down again, hoping Iroh had some wise words for me. ''I think this would've been easy if you were the Avatar and you would've no choice. But you must remember that you are not the Avatar, Aang is. And I think you have to help him in any other way possible'' Iroh tell me and I stand up and hug him.

''Thank you Iroh, thank you very much'' I smile and he hugs me back. ''You should help disable the ships, this way you will be close to Aang'' Iroh says and I nod.
