Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

The next day Aang is training. But I think it's more like Zuko is drilling him. The rest is just laying around all day and I was training my waterbending. They decided to go to the beach but I stayed behind.

I wanted to work on connecting with Aang so I could check up on him during the battle. I tried to do it while I was bending so I could maybe use it better. Then I hear Aang shouting at Zuko and Zuko attacking Aang.

I didn't pay much attention to it because I knew that Zuko wouldn't hurt Aang. Then I heard a crash and saw Zuko flying through the air. I send the water up to catch him and bring him safely to the ground. ''Thank you Miku'' he says and smiles at me. Aang comes down and the others come running.

''What's wrong with you! You could've hurt Aang!'' Katara said. ''What's wrong with me?! What's wrong with all of you! Having beach parties when Sozinscomet is only three days away!'' Zuko shouts and I know that he has been in a lot of stress the last few days because of it.

I guess this was his breakingpoint. ''Why are you all looking at me like I'm crazy?!'' he asks agitated. And then Aang explains he wants to wait till after the comet to fight the Fire Lord, because he thinks he isn't ready and wants to learn more about firebending.

Zuko tells them about his father's plans to burn down the entire earthkingdom. He told me about this a few nights ago but we both didn't know that Aang wanted to wait until after the comet. I guess they didn't tell me because I would tell Zuko. But I don't understand why they hadn't told us this, very important information.

Zuko was telling and showing Aang how to redirect lighting because just like Azula that's what his father uses. Aang is thinking rather positive. He taught that if he did it wrong Katara could heal him with her spirit water. But that dream quickly ended when she told him she used it all after Azula shot him.

Sokka created a battle plan and we would try it now but I decided to just watch them. Toph was the melonlord right now and she did enjoy herself. Now it was Aangs turn, he had to finish the melonlord but he couldn't do it. ''There! That's how it's done'' Sokka says when he cuts the melon in half.

We all sit down outside on the stairs with our food and then Katara comes walking out with a scroll. She unrolls it and it shows a drawing of a cute baby. She thinks it's Zuko but he tells them that it is father. And now they don't think he's that cute anymore.

''But he's still a human being'' Aang says who sat with his back toward us. They all start screaming at each other saying that they understand the position Aang is in right now. But they don't understand at all.

He learned from the monks that violence isn't the answer and killing someone is an unthinkable thing to do. And it's not in his nature to do something like that, he's to kind for that. Aang storms away and Katara wants to go after him but Zuko stops her.

''You guys really don't understand him'' I say and everyone turns to me. It's like they forget I was there. ''How can you say that! And are you saying you understand him because of that bond thing you have'' Katara shouts.

''I think the bond helps, yeah. But has any of ever taken a life before and no Sokka, animals don't count'' I say because I know he would say something like that. ''None of you has ever taken a human life before so how can say it like it's the easiest thing to do'' I say and stand up and go looking for Aang. I see him sitting in a room.

''Mind if I join you?'' I ask. ''No I don't mind. You're the only one not telling me to kill the Fire Lord'' he says and I sit with my back against his. ''I know you can't do it. And it's not because I think you're weak but it's in your nature, your to kind and you learned from the monks that violence isn't good'' I tell him.

''Thank you Miku. I'm glad you understand'' and he brings his arm behind him and I take it. ''How is it to take a life?'' he whispers. ''Well it's kind of empowering that someone else's life is in your hands but it's an really big responsibility. You can't kill everyone you don't like'' I say and we both keep quiet for a while.

''Why could you do it and why can't I?'' he whispers again. I think he always denied the fact that I killed Zhao, until now. ''We've both had a very different upbringing. You learning to not use violence and me learning to take the violence, physical and mental. I think if I grew up with parents I couldn't do it but I didn't and it made me who I am today. And I think I'm a little more violent from my nature and you're not, you're really kind and you want to find the best in everyone'' I explain and stand up.

I lean on the railing. ''Thank you Miku for telling me this'' he smiles at me. ''You're welcome Aang, try and get some sleep to clear your mind'' I say. I had a feeling something very spiritual was coming our way.
