Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

105.

I felt really happy right now and I hoped everything would stay this way. But then I felt something change in the air and I heard guards shouting and people screaming and I turn around and see some men running towards us ready to attack with their firebending. They stop just in front of us.

''You are not worthy to be our Princess! You're just some weak little waterbending girl! And you! You're not our Fire Lord we will always stay loyal to the real Fire Lords: Ozai, Azulon and Sozin!'' a man, I think the leader of the group, shouts. Zuko wants to step forward but I hold him back and step forward myself. 

''I really don't care if you think I'm worthy to be you Princess, I will work my hardest to make sure I become worthy and I know for sure that Zuko is your Fire Lord and he will stay that way if you like it or not. And I'm so tired of people calling me a little girl and underestimating me!'' I say and look each of them in the eye so I make my point clear and I hear the leader laugh when I look at him.

Then he nods to one of the men and he attacks me. I block his attack and make sure he doesn't hurt my family and I take the water from the sea to throw him in there and freeze the water with only his head poking out. The remaining men look at me with some shock in their eyes, they didn't expect it.

But the leader stayed composed and just laughed and nodded to the others and they attacked me all at once. I took water from the ocean an put it around me and froze it to protect myself from the fire when they didn't attack anymore I broke my bubble and shot the icicles to them and cut their flesh.

I didn't wait until they recovered and made a big wave and took them higher and higher and caught them in a bubble that I moved away from the docks and dropped them in the ocean and froze the water. Behind me I heard people shouting that they deserved it and that I did great. But I didn't pay any attention to it.

I jumped down from the docks and into the water but I made a board so wouldn't get wet. ''Miku!'' I heard Zuko shout when I moved over to them men in the water. I stopped in front of them and looked down.

''I don't care what you say about me and wanting to hurt me. But never say something like that to my family or threaten them because I will make sure you can never so something like that again'' I say to them and don't wait for what they have to say and go back to the docks. There are some guards waiting and I make a path of ice for them so they can reach the men and they nod to me.

''It's so lovely to see you bending Miku'' Gran-gran smiles not even scared by the events just a few minutes ago. ''You really are a strong bender and you take after your mother'' my grandfather says and smiles at me and I smile back. It meant a lot to me that he said I took after my mother. 

''Miku are you alright? They didn't hurt you right?'' Zuko asks and he scans my body to see if there are injuries. ''I'm alright calm down. You know I'm not so easy to take down'' I say and wink at him referring to this morning. He ignores it and hugs me.

''Shall we go back to the palace?'' I ask and everyone agrees on that. ''Wait not everyone is here yet!'' Gran-gran says and nods to Sokka to get them and he runs to the boat. Then I see multiple people from our tribe coming down the boat. In front walks Hakoda who is cautiously looking around.

I sigh and grab Zuko's hand and squeeze. I didn't want to see these people and I didn't miss them the entire time I was gone. But I have to remind myself that they can't hurt me anymore and they are not my family anymore. 

''Hakoda how nice to see you again'' I say sarcastic and he tries not to roll his eyes. ''Yeah really nice'' he mutters. ''You must be glad to be finally back at home after all these years'' I say and look at the other people. ''It's good to be back but now I had to come here'' he answers and gives me an hard look.

''If you dislike it that much why didn't you stay at home?'' I ask him but I know the reason why. ''My mother thought it would be nice if we came to your wedding'' he says and looks at Zuko. 

''Hakoda quit it!'' Gran-gran says and hits his arm. I have to laugh but try and hold it back. ''Let us returns to the palace then now that everyone is here'' I say and turn around and smile at Zuko and he smiles back. It's so funny to see a grown man be scowled by his mother.

We decided to walk back to the palace because we couldn't arrange that all these people were carried back. Gran-gran held my arm and looked around at all the people and the buildings. ''This is different. I understand why you rather stay here then come back to the South Pole, these houses are great'' she says and I laugh a little.

It's really different to see someone of her age so surprised by the looks of this city and it's buildings. ''That's not the only reason for me to stay here Gran-gran'' I say and smile at her and then at Zuko.
