Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

91.

The man turns around and grabs his stuff from the ground when he wants to walk away he trips over the rope we had stretched the rope. Zuko walks out and says we were behind the bushes and that he shouldn't think about firebending.

Katara walks out and I stand next to her. She asks him if he remembers her and at first he doesn't know but than he looks better and he remembers. ''She lied to protect the last waterbender'' Katara says quietly. ''What! Who?!'' he shouts in disbelief. 

''Me!'' Katara shouts and starts waterbending. She creates dome so the rains doesn't touch us anymore and the man looks scared at her. Then she creates large icicles and sends them to the man ''Katara'' I whisper. She stops and let the icicles melt.

She tells him that she thinks he pathetic and empty. ''But as much as I hate you! I just can't do it'' she says and walks away. Zuko looks at him and I bow down to the man. ''She didn't just lie about the waterbender you know'' I say and the man looked up at me.

''She lied about the number too'' I smile at him and I stand back up and from the look on his face he knows that I'm a waterbender too. ''She can't do something like that but I'm not like her'' say and take a step back.

I use the water in his clothes to lift him up and let him drop and I continue this a few times. The entire time the man shouts for mercy but I won't let him have any. ''Miku, don't do it'' I hear Katara sob. ''I won't do it. But that doesn't mean I can't hurt him a little'' I say and drop him yet another time.

Now I lift him up again and begin to twirl him around and he keeps shouting and screaming. ''Will you just shut up!'' I shout and I throw him 10 feet through the air and I hear him hit the ground. I turn around and walk past Katara who looks at me in disbelief but she walks after me.

I sit down at a dock and she sits down next to me. We don't talk just look at the water. ''I don't know why I couldn't do it, I couldn't even hurt him like you did'' she says and tears form in her eyes. 

''We're very different Katara. I think it was really great that you didn't do it. It shows how strong you are'' I say. ''I don't get it I thought it made me weak''

''No, you were able to control your emotions and didn't go through with it. You have to be strong for that'' I explain. ''But if you say it like that it would make you weak? And you are definetly not weak'' she says and looks at me with disbelief.

''No I'm not weak either. We just deal with it in different ways. You wanted to know what kind of person he was and I just had to hurt him. If I was weak he wouldn't be breathing right now, then I would have finished him, but I withheld myself'' I explain and look down at the water.

''Okay uhm, something entirely different. What's going on between you and Zuko?'' Katara asked and I looked a little shocked at her. ''Sorry I'm a little bit surprised you noticed'' I say after I took a deep breath.

''Well it's kind of obvious after you guys got back from that prison breakout'' she laughs. ''He had a girlfriend when he was in the Fire Nation. She is that friend of Azula with the knifes, May. And she was there. She even helped us escape'' I say quickly.

''That must be awkward'' Katara says with wide eyes. ''Yeah it was. But I knew he had someone then, I just didn't know who and I think it helped that he never confirmed it'' I tell her honestly. 

''Have you talked to him about it?'' she asks me and I look at her but quickly look away thinking about that night. ''No I've been avoiding him because I don't know what to say or what to expect from him. And he forced me to sleep with him. Not that but really sleep. It doesn't sound bad but that's where I leave it'' I say after she looked shocked at me.

''Oh okay, I thought something entirely different. But you have to talk to him because this isn't good for the both of you'' she says and then Appa flies over our heads and lands a little further away. ''Thank you for talking'' Katara says and hugs me. 

''Thank you too'' I say and she walks over to Aang. ''I heard from Zuko what you did or didn't do and I'm proud of you Katara'' Aang says to her and looks loving at her and I smile but then Aang looks at me. 

''But you didn't do as good. Miku, violence is never the answer'' Aang said a little disappointed. ''I think I did really well, I'm mean he's still alive so in my opinion it went really well'' I say and shrugged. Katara suddenly hugged Zuko and told him thanks and that she has forgiven him and she walks away. He looks at me and I smile at him knowing that this meant a lot to him.

''Then I have a question for you: what are you going to do when you face my father?'' Zuko asked and Aang looked scared at first and then a little lost. I put my arm over his shoulders and guided him to Appa and Zuko walking behind us.
