Wanting to be loved (Zuko)

I sit down on Zuko's bed and he puts his head in my lap. I play with his hair and keep quiet for a while. ''How was it to be back in the castle?'' I ask him and he sighs. ''It was weird being back. And to see my father again'' he says.

''I can imagine. How was your sister?'' I ask him and he just looks at me. ''I think Azula never changes. She told my father that I killed the Avatar so if he had survived I would get the blame'' he explains.

''She has a weird way of thinking. Did you visit your uncle?'' I ask him again. If I didn't ask all these questions I think he wouldn't tell me anything. ''Yeah I did visit him a few times. He wanted me to look into my great grandfather, but he didn't tell me that he meant the great grandfather from my mother's side'' he tells me.

''And what did you find out about him?'' I ask. ''He was Avatar Roku'' he says and I give him a shocked look. ''Really?! That's pretty awesome. Is that why you decided to help Aang master fire? Because you are connected?'' I ask.

''It definetly helped making my choice'' ''Did you find any information about your mother?'' I ask this sensitive question because otherwise he won't talk about her. ''I found out that she was banished, because she helped my father with killing my grandfather so he would have the throne and not my uncle'' he explains.

''Wait what, so your mother killed Fire Lord Azulon? That's pretty heavy. Why did she do it?'' I asked curious. ''Because my grandfather wanted my father to kill me so that he would feel the pain of losing his first born and heir like my uncle. My mother wanted to protect me and did what my father wanted. He doesn't know if she is still alive and I think that he doesn't care'' he tells me sad.

''Maybe we can look for her once the war is over. I want to go look for my parents we can look for them at the same time'' I propose. ''That's a really good idea Miku, I would like that'' he smiles and brings his hand up to my neck so he can pull me down to his face and kiss me.

''I really missed you Miku. I don't know how I survived without you'' he tells me and I kiss his forehead. ''Let's make sure we don't lose each other than'' I smile.

We walk out of the room because Zuko has to help Aang master firebending.

I help Katara with preparing dinner. Somehow we took it upon ourselves to do this together all the time. It's pretty nice to do.

When we all sit together eating around the fire a look back and see Zuko standing outside. He looks troubled. He comes over to us and tells us he lost his stuff, I didn't get what he meant but then he said he lost his firebending or it isn't as strong as it usually was.

Katara laughed pretty hard when she heard it and I tried not to slap her in the face. Aang thinks it's because Zuko's firebending came from anger and hate and now that he doesn't have that anymore he isn't as good at firebending. Sokka is poking him with a stick to make Zuko angry and hope is bending comes back.

When he wants to poke another time I slice the stick in half with some water from our food and Sokka looks surprised. But Zuko doesn't want to rely on that anymore to be able to firebend. Toph recommends to learn it from the original source. Just like she learned earthbending from Badgermoles.

But that isn't possible with firebending because the original source of firebending are dragons and they are extinct. Luckily Zuko has another idea. The Sunwarriors, they died thousands of years ago, but they might find something in the ruins.

The next day Aang and Zuko are getting ready to leave and look for the sunwarriors. ''Is it alright if I go with you?'' I ask them carefully. ''Why would you want to go? We probably won't find anything there'' Zuko said.

''I just don't want to stay here alone with Katara'' I whisper and Zuko looks at me sad and Aang surprised. ''What's wrong with Katara?'' Aang demands. ''It's not Katara, but it's how she treats me now because Zuko is here. She doesn't trust me anymore and she makes these horrible comments when we are alone together. She will be normal in a few days I guess she just has to take it all in. But can I come?'' I explain to him and he nods.

Zuko and I take place on Appa's saddle and we leave. After a little while of flying Zuko complains about the speed. He thought Appa could fly faster. ''If you want to fly faster, why don't you try it yourself and tell us how it is'' I joke and I hear Aang laugh. ''Very funny Miku'' Zuko laughs and kisses my cheek.

We see the island and as we fly over the ruins we are surprised about how beautiful it looks and everything seem intact from up here. We land and give Appa something to eat while were gone.
