Chapter 34

I'm honestly surprised that you guys didn't realize the dads name in the last chapter was inspired by the happy wheels adventure. I'm ashamed of you all. Ahaha.

Its a month or so later from that night; the fourth of July. Everything has been going well. Its Thursday night. I'm sitting on Josh's bed, watching him fill a suitcase. "How long are you going to be gone?" I ask, looking down and picking at my nails.

"Well, the concert is tomorrow night. We'll probably be back Saturday afternoon. You gonna be okay?" He asks, turning around from his closet and walking to me. "Yeah, I'll survive." I say, looking up to him and smiling.

I stand up and he pulls me into a hug. I burry my head in his hoodie and he kisses the top of my head. I sit back down and help him fit everything into his suitcase. He pulls it to the front door and we join Tyler and Jenna in the living room.

I sit in between Tyler and Josh and Jenna plays some random movie we found on TV. During the movie, I can't stop thinking about the guys being gone. Sure it'll only be one night, but it seems like ten years.

A tear prickles my cheek but I wipe it away before anyone notices.

You're so lame. You can't even make it one night without those two. You rely on two people to keep you breathing. You aren't gonna make it through tomorrow.

I look down to see I'm gripping my blanket so hard that my knuckles are white. I let go and try to relax, focusing on the movie.

The movie has a weird ending. Tyler turns to me. "You're gonna be okay tomorrow! I promise. You and Jenna will have a great girls night!" He says, smiling.

I smile and nod back, and rest my head on his chest while we watch more TV. He strokes my hair and rests his hand on my back. I feel his steady breathes as his chest moves up and down, and I fall asleep.

I wake up the next morning to find out Tyler and Josh have already left. "They left you a note on the table" Jenna nods her head towards the table as she washes a plate in the kitchen sink.

I walk towards the table and see a sheet of paper. Picking it up, I start reading.

"Dear Y/N,
We're sorry that we have to leave for a concert, but we'll be back shortly. And when we get back, we have a great surprise. We love you very much, and care about you soooo much! You're going to have a great weekend with Jenna! Love, Tyler and Josh <3"

I smile and reread it again. Jenna dries her hands on a dish towel and walks across the kitchen to me. "Ready to have an amazing weekend?!" She says, smiling. I nod and smile from ear to ear.

We go out to lunch at a pasta place and then go to the mall. We walk around and find hot topic and I jump with joy as we walk towards the entrance. Jenna squeals when we see the Twenty One Pilots merch.

We walk out of the store with 2 twenty one pilots shirts, tons of band bracelets and some little pins. I also got a blurryface snapback and beanie.
We eventually leave the mall with tons of bags and our faces dolled up from the makeovers we got.

We pull up to the house at 11:03 and get out of the car, walking to the front porch. I sometimes imagine someone sitting on my porch, like a demon. Waiting for me.

Jenna unlocks the door and we step inside. I walk to my room and set all of my bags down. I grab clothes out of my closet and walk to the bathroom, turning the water on.

The cold water hits my back as I rinse my hair. I finish showering and step out, the cold, white tile against my feet.

I think about how Tyler and Josh are probably in a hotel room with the crew right now. I hope their doing okay. I pull my shirt over my head and put shorts on. I open the door and walk across the hall to my room, laying down in bed.

I open my phone to see two new messages. Sliding open my phone, I see they're from Tyler and Josh.

I open Tyler's first.
"Hey!! I hope you're having a great day! I love you so much! Try not to think too much. We will be back tomorrow! I love you! <3."
I smile at the text and screenshot it.
"Hey Ty! I had a great day! I love you so much too! Can't wait to see you guys. Sleep well."

I open Josh's next. "Hey kiddo! Hope you're doing okay. Can't wait to see you tomorrow. Love you so much!"

I reply and then turn the lights out. Thoughts start to creep in my head, and I try to push them out. I'm too tired to think, because I fall asleep within a half hour.

I wake up to Jenna singing while making pancakes. We talk about the day before and how we're excited to see the boys. When we're done eating, I get around and sit in a chair on my balcony, writing.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and jump, letting out a small yelp. I hear a laugh, and someone say "aha its okay. Its me." I realize it's Tyler and jump up, turning around.

"Tyler!!!!" I run into a hug, and hug him so tightly I think I might break him. Josh comes on the balcony and I hug him next. We all reunite and hug and tell stories, and the room fills with laughter.

We get in the car and they won't tell me where we're going. We pull up to a building. We park and I read the sign. It says "pet shelter." I widen my eyes. "T-Tyler?? Is this for real?!" I ask, smiling.
