Chapter 4

Nikki's POV

When I got to school I met up with Kyle.

We sat down in the chairs at the entrance.

We talked mostly about school. Everytime I felt down about Chase he cheered me up.

Of course I couldn't stop thinking about him. But Kyle helped me forget for a few minutes. What a sweet kid.

Everything went fine until the bell rung and everybody headed for class.

The entrance was empty. I headed for class as Kyle stayed back to give the office papers.

Chase POV

I really messed up this time I can't believe I let my ego get in the way of Nikki and I.

When we sat down at breakfast I asked Bree if she was able to get a hold of Nikki. "No she won't answer any of my calls or texts. You must of really hurt her" it made me sad thinking if what my commando mode did.

"Yeah. But when I get to school I'm gonna fix it with Nikki" "good luck"

When we arrived at school I noticed a blond headed girl sitting at the entrance. "There's Nikki" before I started walking I saw her talking to someone. A guy. He was treating her like they were dating. And I hate that.

Anger built and watched Nikki walk to class as the bell rung for everyone to get to class. "Chase are you ok?" Bree asked seeing my expression "No Adam quick laser eyes" soon without direction or asking why he shot really close to the boys head.

The boy turned around angry. He looked down at Adams shoes and shot two lasers infront of his feet making Adam jump.

"I'm leaving" Adam and Bree headed out going to class leaving me and the kid.

When they left the kid very quickly pinned me against the wall. "Who are you?" I asked. "I'm Kyle and you?" "Chase" his eye brows then rose up. "Oh so your the one that broke poor Nikki's heart. Shame shame on you." He said smiling. "Yeah I did and I'm gonna fix it" I said trying to struggle free.

"No no no. Nikki's heart is hurting badly. And I plan to fix it. Then use her bionics for my use" I couldn't believe my ears.

I suddenly had enough strength to turn it around and pin him to the wall. "You better stay away from her!" "Or else? You'll quiz me to death? I'm not scared" he said with a satisfied look then he looked over my shoulder and he shrieked "ow! Ow! Stop your hurting me!" I then heard a familiar girl voice behind me. "Chase let go of Kyle!" I turned to see Nikki running to Kyle "Nikki this isn't what it looks like" she got mad. She was helping Kyle up as he fakely fell to the ground "Oh really because it looked like you had poor Kyle pinned against the wall." "We'll I did but for a good reason" soon Kyle ran to Nikki giving her a hug.

"This is the Chase that's been hurting you? C'mon lets get back to class so you can get away from him." "Your right" he said turning her around walking down the hallway as he smiled looking back at me.

How could he manipulate her like that?! He's turning my sweet Nikki against me. This made me super mad. I was gonna get Nikki back no matter what it takes

It was terrible during 4th period. Nikki was in that class. So was Kyle.

They joked around all class. I went through 5 pencils. Getting mad and accidentally breaking them.

Walking back home with Adam,Leo,and Bree I tried telling them what happened.

"Chase are you sure your bit just jealous Nikki moved on?" "No! It really happened!" "Sure it did" she said rolling her eyes.

"I think you've finally lost it man" Leo said patting my back.

"I will get you guys to believe me!" I said walking past them into my capsule trying to think of how I was gonna do that.

Nikki's POV

After school Kyle and I went to my house to look over notes and hang out.

We're in my room leaning against my wall on my bed.

"Do you want popcorn?" I kept bags in my room getting hungry once and a while and using my heat vision to pop it.

"Sure" I grabbed a bag and put it on the floor.

So the the kernels started popping and it was done.

I then remembered Kyle didn't know about my bionics.

"Kyle please don't tell anyone! Ill do anything!" He started laughing "calm down Nikki I won't tell anyone" I was happy to know I had a friend like him.

"Thanks a million" I said hugging him.

"On one condition" he said looking at with a serious face. "What is it?" I said with a confused face. "If you let me bring you out for ice cream tomorrow night" he said with a smile.

I had a smile on my face but it soon faded. I didn't wanna date this fast after breaking up with Chase.

"Sure. As long as its not a date. Just friends hanging out" "of course"

I'm glad I had a friend like him to help me get through this.

Kyles POV

I had to admit Nikki was hot but all I need her for is her bionics.

Of course I knew about her bionics before she told me. My "father" knows everything about the Davenports.

When I found out about her and Chase broke up I knew I could pull her in to trap her and extract her bionics.

I told Chase my plan knowing no one would believe him. Nikki doesn't even know I'm bionic.

When I take her out to ice cream I was gonna draw her in. And everything will straighten out
