Chapter 53

"What? No!" I protest when I finally find my voice.

"I say it's a great idea. I did this all the time with my brother when I was little,showed who's more qualified." My dad says with a excited smile.

Qualified? For what?

"I think it's great too." Spike says.

"Stop." I whisper to Spike quietly. Hoping he would snap out of it but he still looks like he's making a game plan

"Excuse us." I say grabbing Spikes hand and leading him to my room so my parents could hear.

"We'll be outside." Adam says as I loose sight by going into the hall.

I push Spike in as he stumbles and I lock my door.

"What are you thinking?!" I hiss at him.

But I was more confused at how Spike knew anything. He usually only has info from when he was there.

"They think I shouldn't be with a girl. I'll prove them wrong." He says crossing his arms.

"Spike, how do you know this is going on?" Spikes fully aware of Chase. Lola's still young and doesn't know about me.

"I was listening in. I can do that, I'm pretty powerful." He says cocky.

"Then why are you here? Chase needs to be here."

Spike smirks and wraps his arms around my waist. It felt like the first time I kissed Spike. It feels foreign. Even though it's Chases body and everything. Spike does things differently.

"This time, I didn't come out babe. Chase cowarded in a desperate need for his bionics to take over. He wanted to turn into me. I could tell by the way his bionics from the chip were a bit hey wire from his behavior. So I came out to help." He explained.

Chase wanted my dad to think he was manly like Adam, so he brought Spike out. Makes more sense but I feel bad about Chase feeling he's not capable of being the diamond in my parents eyes without Spike as reassurance.

"So if you don't mind bringing Lola out..." Spike adds. I hit his shoulder

"My parents will know the difference. Plus she's a little on edge about everything and unstable. I can't risk her getting so mad that she lifts the house." I say as he rolls his eyes.

"She won't lift the house. She's perfectly calm." Spike tried selling to me. Yeah, I'm not stupid.

"She's put a pan through the tv, tried taking over the house,with you! Through the couch on the stairs, broke a vase, scared everyone,may I say more?" I ask.

It's weird talking about a girl who does all this with my body. It feels weird but I'm over it now. Lola was more of my aggressive,sassy,independent,yet dependent side.

"Spike, you have to call this off." I beg

"Nice try but I'm not letting some old version of Hulk Hogan let himself think the tall dipstick known as Adam, be better then me." He refuses as he leaves out the door.

I sigh.

What am I going to do?

Why is Spike suddenly being brotherly to Chase?

Will Spike being here make Lola appear too? Gosh I hope not.

I look at my reflection to make sure I could play off not being nervous. I looked ok, so I left out the door waiting for what might happen.

"I chose the first round to be a race." My dad announced as I sat at the table with Bree,Davenport,Tasha.and my mom. Davenport looked like he was gonna jump out've his seat. I don't blame him, I'm like that now.
