Chapter 40

Nikki's POV

"Hey Ally" I greeted as I stepped into the lab. "Hey Nikki" she greets back. Taking her eyes away from some equipment she was messing with "so, I was wondering if you wanted to have a girls day with us. It will just be me,you,Bree,and Lauren" I inform. She smiles "sure, sounds like fun" she answers hugging me. "Great! We will leave for the Davenplex mall in about half an hour" I inform before signaling to me. "We could leave now but obviously what I look like right now" I say motioning to my pajamas and rare case of bed head "could use some major help" I finish as she laughs and I head to the elevator to go to my room and fix what I look like.

"Done" I say satisfactorily at my reflection in the mirror. I slid on a pair of jean captors, a black tank top, a varsity jacket,and my favorite pair of converse. I fixed my hair into a high pony tail and clicked my bangs up. After looking over my makeup that consisted of eyeliner and lipgloss, I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I invite as I see Chase step in. "Hey" I greet as he kisses my cheek "hey, where are you going?" he asks as I walk over and grab my phone to text the girls we were about to leave "I'm going to the mall" I inform. "Can I come?" he asks smiling. Normally I'd never say no to it but today's a girls day. And last time I've taken a look at Chase, he shows no resemblance of a girl. "Sorry, it's a girls day thing" I explain as he wraps his arms around me. Making his upper muscles flex with movement "and what a better way of showing me off?" He jokes making me giggle "full of yourself much?" I tease "just a little" he jokes. "It's gonna be me,Ally,Bree,and Lauren. No guys. Were gonna do girl things" I shrug "does that involve talking about me?" he asks looking a little on edge. Probably thinking id tell an embarrassing story. "Maybe" I say dragging out the word before kissing his lips. Letting my lips linger. I felt my phone vibrate

We're ready

"Gotta go" I inform Chase before pressing one more kiss and grabbing my purse. "Love you" I say giving him a farewell kiss on the cheek "love you too" I hear before leaving out my room. This should be fun!

Chase POV

A girls day? That scared me a little. Nikki's got tons of information on me and that makes me nervous.

After the girls left, I went to the lab to find Adam and Leo. "Hey" I greeted trying to get there attention away from some shiny contraption they will be sure to break "hey" they said back. "So it's just us in the house" I point out trying to see if they knew about the girls day too. "Yeah, I was gonna hang out with Lauren but she said she was going somewhere with Nikki and the girls. Probably getting there nails done or something stupid" he shrugs "yeah, I was gonna try to get the nerve to ask Ally out but then she informed me she would be gone for the day with Nikki and friends. I took that as a shot down" poor little Leo. "What so you think there doing?" I ask "I don't know. Probably some frilly stuff" Adam scoffs "Nikki told me that they would probably end up talking about us" I slide in the info as I suddenly cought there attention. "What do you mean?" Leo asks looking nervous "I don't know. But I'm sure theyve got something to tell about all of us" I say as Adam looks like he's got an idea. "Problem solved, we will spy on them" he says looking confidently "don't you think they will catch us? 3 of 4 of them are bionic" I point out. "We will stay off the radar" he answers "it will be full proof"

Nikki's POV

"True story" I confirm laughing with the others. I was just telling the girls a story about the time Chase had this 'exciting' thing he had to show me. Some device that was suppose to clean clothes instantly. I say Tasha should've been more excited. But anyway, he decided to show me it worked by using my favorite shirt. It ended up putting a giant hole right through the fabric. He made it up to me by buying me a new one. He felt embarrassed for being so confident on the contraption but I found it funny. "That's nothing. Adam once got me a necklace that was suppose to be gold. Got ripped off, turned my neck green" she said making us all laughed.

We were at the food court exchanging stories. It was a nice day. We did some really great shopping. But then I remembered something "darn! I forgot to stop by Abercrombie and get Chase a shirt" I say gathering my things. "I'll come, I can get Adam one" Lauren says standing up and getting her bags. "We'll hang out here and meet up with you after" Bree informed us as Ally nodded. "Ok" I say as Lauren joins me and we leave.

Chase POV

We couldn't find the girls anywhere. It was like they disappeared. I knew they had to be here somewhere. "C'mon Chase we've been here for 2 hours!" Leo complains "they gotta be here somewhere" I say looking around. We were in Forever 21. Nikki's favorite store. In surprised I didn't find her here. "This is useless" Leo says putting back a beanie he picked up. "They'll show up" I say doing one more check. I feel Adam pat my shoulder "I think they'll arrive sooner then planned" he says pointing to the door as Lauren and Nikki walk in. "Hide!" I whisper shout. We all scatter to find somewhere to hide. I went off into the clothes rack. I was praying they wouldn't come near when I saw it was Nikki's corner of the store. She likes this corner because it's got her favorite stuff. My instincts brought me here from being familiar with it from shopping trips with Nikki. I draw in a sharp breathe when I hear Nikki's voice "c'mon Lauren, I just wanna see if they got anything new" she begs. I look around notice my legs are exposed. I took my first idea and started throwing on clothes. I put on a galaxy styled shirt, pink leather jacket,blue beanie,and fake glasses. I probably looked like a girl. But it might get me out of here quicker. I stepped out the rack and started for the other side of the store when I felt a tap on my shoulder "excuse me Ms? Is this on sale?" I heard in Nikki's voice. I grunted under my breathe and turned around. Nikki and Lauren's face held a bewildered look. "I think I'm gonna go over here" she said walking off. I put on a smile and try to do my best girl voice "yes?" I ask terribly. "Oh this is, goodbye" I said trying to walk off but she cought up to me. "Sorry I didn't catch your name" she says nicely "it's..ugh" I look around "rackel" I get from looking at racks of clothing "um ok? thanks anyway" she says running off but not without looking back at me a few times. Thank god that's over

Adams POV

"No way!" I deny "yes way, hurry she's coming!" Leo says throwing on a crop top and some clip on earrings. This is stupid. But I do it anyway

"Excuse me.." I hear Lauren's voice and I shutter at what I'm wearing. I'm officially humiliated. "Yes?" I ask in a girly voice. "You know what. I forgot but thanks anyway" she fasts walks out the store. This day hasn't been the best. But when I saw Chase, I couldn't contain my laughter. "Wow Chase, rocking the pink" I say through laughing "nice kitty headband" he shoots back and I give him a glare. "Let's get outta here before I end up having to wear a bra" Leo says as we all take off the clothes and shoot out the the mall. That was embarrassing

Nikki's POV

"Best part of the mall" I laugh as Bree,Ally,and I walk through the door. We just dropped Lauren off but I made sure she had copies. "How was the mall?" Chase asks coming out the hall "it was fun. I got the best deal at Forever 21" I say as he tries to play it off. "Oh really" he says not looking me in the eyes "yeah. 3 for 1" I say sliding and showing the pictures I had of all 3 of then I sneakily took. The girls busted out laughed and headed to the lab, leaving me and Chase here. "Why were you at the mall? Dressed as girls?" I ask even though I'm pretty sure I knew the answer. "Just went shopping, for um, a new shirt" he plays off. "So you won't mind if I share this with my contact list?" I ask showing the picture of him. "Not if you don't have it" he says snatching it and running. Does he think I won't catch him?

I walk over to Eddies panel "Eddie, retrieve picture 124" he smiles and does so. When he sees it he starts laughing. I wish Davenport would give Eddie a new voice. "Keep that as blackmail next time you need something from them" I say walking back to the couch. And that's why you don't spy on me. Can't wait to see what Eddie does with them
