Chapter 41 part 1

Leo's POV

How do I show Ally that I'm cool? Usually my first thought would be to use Davenports inventions. So why not try?

I look around. Hyptronic trampoline? Neh. Sonic scream machine? Too loud. Something marked Flipped. Maybe.

I pick up the device. It was an aqua blue with red stripes. There was a note

Does he not trust me? Thanks big D. What could a flip machine do? The worst could be if it flipped me into the wall. I decided to press the button and find out. I felt myself being sucked into a black hole. My first instinct would be to scream. So I did! "Help!" I shout but no one was around to hear it. Within the blink of a eye I was in the schools cafeteria. Weird. Maybe it's a transportation machine. I looked around and saw Chase,Nikki,Adam,and Bree walk in. They looked different. Chase in a football jersey carrying a football,Adam in glasses while reading a text book,Bree with designer clothes on,and Nikki looking ticked off. Is this a joke? "Hey guys" I greet and they look at me then back at what they were doing. Bree was filing her nails,Adam with his text book,and Chase had Nikki under his arm but she wouldn't look at him while he talked or ever. "What's going on?" I ask as Bree opens her phone and looks annoyed "some 9th grader is trying to be invited to my super great party" she answers "I'm rereading the kwotem theory" Adam answers "my boyfriends useless" Nikki snaps looking at Chase "my girlfriend is stubborn" he says back. Ok, Adam smart,Bree popular, Nikki hating Chase,and Chase looking like he's on the football team. Sorry I can't over look that. "I just asked if you would come to my game! I am the star of the team. You could be dating the water boy" Chase says as Nikki rolls her eyes "I could be dating someone else" she answers back. I'm confused. Usually I'd expect them to be lovey. "Enough about football! Nikki would probably rather come to my party?" Bree says bit snobby "yeah I rather go to designer girls party" she says pointing to Bree. I'm beyond confused. "I thought when I went out with the head chick it would be easier" Chase complained "not my fault" Nikki says. "Gosh, would you two nock it off? I'm trying to study for Chemistry and it's hard with you two bickering like such parrots who's been ticked" Adam says. What? "I'm confused" I say rubbing my temples "Chase is all of a sudden sporty, Nikki's mean, Bree's popular,and Adams smart. Care to explain?" I ask. They all look at me crazy. "Your lost" Chase says as they all nod. "Ok, Nikki first" I say taking her arm and taking her from Chases hold. I bring her into the hallway "what's going on?" I ask and she looks at me funny "what do you mean?" She asks. I sigh "ok, what is your place in this?" I ask trying to see if that would be easier. "Top girl, trained Bree in anything she knows. I'm more of a mentor. I'm dating the dunce of the football team and I'm not sure if he's even worth thinking of" she says sassy. She trained Bree and is annoyed by Chase easily. "What about Chase?" I ask "like I said. A dunce. We met when I was at one of the games,forced I add, I met him,thought he was cute,and now were like this" she explained. "I thought dating the star of the team would have its perks but so far the only one is free admittance to his games. He plays too many sports to count" she finishes. "What about Bree?" "She was nothing when she transferred. So I took her in and now she's pretty well known. But of course not as well as me" she says flipping her hair. Pretty vain. The Nikki I knew was pretty popular but was sweet about it. I don't know what this is. "What about Adam?" She laughs "what a geek! I can't tell you how many times I've cheated off him. He's asked me out before I went out with his brother but I turned him down. You know how I would look? A popular girl dating a nerd like him?" She laughed. Wow she's mean. I went back and got Chase next. But when I stopped to talk to him by the lockers he fisted my shirt and held me against it. Lifting me up a bit. "What did you need Nikki for huh? Trying to get her is that it?" He says looking furious. My eyes go wide. "N-no I was just talking to her" I defend and he drops me onto my feet. Jealous much? How does he get jealous over a girl who clearly despises him? "That better be it" he warns. "It is." I say holding my hands up showing no threat. "Good" he huffs "what's the deal with you two?" I'm trying to get the point of view from some so I can declare. Everyone's gone insane! "She's my girlfriend" he says without further explanation "do you like her?" I ask "of course I do! But she clearly doesn't understand that" he sighs "I see" I say knowing of our past conversation "I don't wanna talk anymore" he says leaving. That Chase has an attitude. When I get back to the cafeteria to get Bree I see Principle Perry. Looking happy. Ok I'm dreaming. "Hello Leo! Good to see your here. I always loved seeing your smiling face" I'm dead, I must be dead. Everyone's acting weird. "Ok maybe big D can help" I say "let's go home" I say as they shrug and follow.

When I walk in the house looks the same. That's good. "Davenport! Mom!" I call. My mom walks out and she's dressed very nicely. "Where are you going?" I ask "to work. They need there star news reporter" she says getting her purse "your joking right?" I say smiling "nope. They need me. Love you, bye" she says leaving. I turn to the guys "please tell me she's kidding" I say pointing my thumb behind me. "No, she's the star of the network" Adam confirms. Then I remember something. "Where's Lauren? Ally?" I ask and they look at me funny. "Adam" I saw shaking him "where's Lauren?" I ask. "Lauren who?" He asks clueless. I ask Nikki. There best friends "Nikki," I go to put my hand on her shoulder but the look Chase gives me tells me I shouldn't so I withdraw "where's Lauren?" She shrugs "she moved years ago." She answered. So Lauren never met Adam wow. That must mean since Nikki and Chase don't get along that Kyle never went after Nikki and so we never met Ally. "Nikki do you have your bionics?" I ask. I could've expected one to give me a confused look but they all did. "What? I don't want bionics" she played off. Something told me the day they met, Chase didn't accidentally transmit the chip into her. I look at Nikki and gather my thoughts. But I decide to look somewhere else when Chase looked as if he was about to tackle me. I gotta get back to the normal state. I check my pocket and find the remote. This parallel universe scared me. There's a lot of surprises. I don't think I wanna stick around and find all of them out. I point to the living room and press the button. I feel myself getting sucked in.

Before I know it I'm back in the lab. "Yes! It worked!" I cheered as Nikki,Adam,Chase,and Bree walked in. "Hey guys you'll never believe what I did" I said sighing. Nikki raises an eyebrow "I'd love to hear it. But first, who are they?" She asks and I turn and see that the other Chase,Nikki,Adam,and Bree got sucked here too.
